Very happy to hear that!!

Now, even more important.. will I be able to gift wrap my unit an put it under the tree in time for Christmas?
It won’t fit under the tree if you install it, unless you have quite a large Xmas Tree.

After watching the installation video, I'm a little concerned that it's going to warp the dash pad over time.

Screenshot 2023-12-14 132255.webp

I doubt I'll keep the screen forever so I don't want a weird gap under the pad once I take it out. On a positive not, the unit appears to be a rebadged Carflix/Lamtto display which seem to have pretty good reviews. Those only run about $90-$100 but don't include the wiring or custom mount.
Mine doesn't seem to have any hump. Maybe the one pictured in @EV Sportline video wasn't installed correctly - given the many times they had it in and out? I'll check again, but I do not recall any of that.

Their dash actually looks different than yours. Your leather material is pulled way back from the wood trim, whereas in theirs, it's stacked nearly edge to edge.

This is either an early vs later VIN design update thing, or vehicle to vehicle variation (maybe less likely this given how drastic the difference is!). In any case, great to know and I hope when I check my truck tomorrow that it looks more like yours. :)

I used a bent piece of 20 gauge tie plate to mount my screen in my diy set up. It's cheap and super thin and slides right under the dash without causing a bump. It doesn't look nearly as as sturdy or finished as the evsportline bracket though.

Mine was an 8/22 build. S/N 99xx, so before all of the “Sandy ‘Cheapening’ Munro” changes that started rolling in around S/N 12,000 +/-

Okay peepers, "Part 1" of the “Master Thread: JEBINC’s installation tips and review of 1EV/EV Sportline CarPlay / Android Auto display kit” is now live!

https://www.rivianforums.com/forum/threads/master-thread-jebinc’s-installation-tips-and-review-of-1ev-ev-sportline-carplay-android-auto-display-kit.22269/

@EV Sportline
I like this! Ideally, one that can be fashioned to the exact length - so you don’t have.a bunch of unslighty wire to deal with. Does such a thing exist? I will take a measurement later and will post that here

For those of us that might be a little more comfortable being a tad more adventurous, is there an easy way to remove the main display screen and route the cord behind the screen and through wherever the cords come through for the main display? I really don't like the idea of having the cords showing - even though y'all did a great job making it as minimal as possible.

Side note - you might want to do some blurring on your original video - at one point, you open Waze and we can clearly see your set home location address @EV Sportline

No - I asked a friend at the local Rivian SC, last week, this very question - as I had my display replaced recently.

Rivian Nation, we've been working on this one for a while! Finally launched today just in time for Black Friday!

1 - plug and play (DIY install), no cutting or splicing or permanent mods!
2 - no tape or scewing mount to dash; patent pending design locks into factory dash!
3 - does not use any USB-C or cig lighter ports! plugs directly into fuse panel above driver feet / under dash
4 - full CarPlay (wireless) connection, run Waze, Google Maps, etc - and play music through Rivian audio

Any chance of getting this by Christmas if we ordered on day 1?

There's no need to remove the screen. You should be able to gently lift the top part of the dash with a trim tool and slip the wire underneath if the it's thin enough. You can then run it across the left of the dash and route it around the driver's side door trim.

I know for a fact that the one I bought at https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0B19LGTF9?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details works--see the photo from my post above.
