Is anyone seeing changes in vampire drain? I've had my R1S parked since last Friday and I'm charging 60+ miles a day with it just sitting in the garage...

This is just not ok at this point. As crappy as the mileage was on my MDX at least when it sat in the garage I didn't need to add 3 gallons of gas a day to keep it there.

I'm hoping there's SOME good news on vampire drain?
If you are getting that much drain overnight then something else is wrong. Do you have a seat belt buckled in the front seats?

Been over all the things - no seatbelts, no gear guard, no proximity lock/unlock... all the things turned off. It doesn't matter

i'm just worried that a software update isn't going to fix it. Most people have like 2-3% as a high vampire drain. Yours is like 15% which means the truck is on all the time. Something is preventing it from sleeping.

Believe me, I am too - but I am just curious if people are seeing a difference - so I KNOW that if I don't it's more ammo to take to service and say - even .50 didn't help...

That's what I get for jumping to the bottom... thanks!

@Rainman what kind of drain were you seeing previously? Anything similar to mine? 3-4% per day?
Are you seeing 3-4% per day, or 60 miles!?! per day (~20%)? The former is still not acceptable IMHO, but more in line with some of the more extreme numbers we've seen reported. The latter would be f!&#*%g astronomically high drain that should be investigated immediately...

Nice! Where does the notification show, via the app, R or both?
You will get a notification on you phone via the app or push notification from the app (assuming you allowed notifications in your settings). You will also get a notification in the vehicle itself.

Strongly recommend to initialize any OTA update when you won't need the vehicle for a few hours and are parked somewhere safe and convenient to your charger (whether plugged in or not). I typically wait a few days to let others be test-dummies before allowing my truck to OTA (which saved me at least a moderate amount of frustration and inconvenience 2 updates ago when I got one of the very early notifications for that big-problem OTA with the flawed security certificate....

Thanks. This is helpful, it appears to work pretty much like Tesla which I have as well. I just wanted to make sure and not assume anything. I usually plug in while updating as well. I don’t believe this is necessary, as long as you have a good amount of charge, it should be fine.

Added a warning on pg 191 to not store consumables in the spare tire compartment, including bottled water. (Hasn't Rivian shown pictures of people using this compartment in the R1T for tailgating ;-)?
Why? Is this for the T or also for the S

:-( I have my fridge there.
