Hi there. I have had my R1S since 12/31 at 4:30pm. I have a pair of Tesla wall chargers and I am using a TeslaTap adapter to charge. Before the R1S I drove a Model S for 7 years and I am still adapting to the differences. My question is what do you do before pulling the charge cable out of the R1S? On the Tesla cable there is a button. When charging a Tesla, you push the button and the light around the charger socket changes and you remove the cable. I think it is actually locked in place until the light changes. Now that we can pre-condition when I go out to the R1S in the morning it could still be charging or drawing power. What do I before pulling out the adapter + Tesla cable? Do I need to stop the charging on the app or in the car before pulling the plug? What do others with Tesla chargers do?
