I will put the AW09 with the 275/60/20 general grabber HTS60 which weighted at 34 lbs and test it out for efficiency.

Great choice on offering the "Titan" color instead of the usual "can't see the wheel in black" color. ;)

Any wheel covers? Anyone thinking they'll fire up Fusion360 to design some?
As we tested already, AERO covers not change efficiency drastically. It is all about weight and rotating mass :) So we don't have plan to add AERO blades/covers to our rims :)

Don't miss the chance to get a set of fully forged premium rims for a pretty good price :)

General Grabber HTS60 is a good tire but 275/60/20 is SL load range, S speed rated and only 44 psi max inflation pressure, not enough to carry full load at high speed with high torque on the Rivian. The efficiency won't be there if you can't inflate it to 48 psi recommended pressure.

there are two versions of them. I got the xl one with 116 load rating and inflated to 48 psi.. discount tires will not install the other one . Only have about 150 miles on this and eff is about 1.9 all purposed . Will probably be better after 500 miles. This is today work trip in 40 degree weather and 10 to 15 mph wind. It is slowly getting better compared to brand new tires a few days ago

Our AW01's came yesterday and our local Discount Tire mounted them with General Grabber HTS60 116T XL and installed on our R1S Quad today, and since then we got 2.43 mi/kWh over 28 miles driving around Boulder/Niwot CO. For comparison we'd been running the OEM 22's and had gotten 1.83 mi/kWh over 2300 miles since the beginning of January, similar driving pattern with a handful of longer trips into Denver and one into the mountains. It's early of course, haven't yet optimized tire pressures and there are weather variances to consider (it was warm today), but I'm pleased so far.

One minor hiccup, the lugholes are smaller than the OEMs so Discount put on smaller aftermarket lugs because they were afraid their impact wrench would scratch the wheels. Serg said the OEM lugs can work but may need a thinner socket than what the shop wanted to use.

Serg, you wanted pics but we're in dire need of a car wash; I'll post after that happens.

which aftermarket lugs did they put on and what was the cost? Or additionally, which thinner socket would work? Is the recommendation that we would provide the socket to Discount Tire as I'm guessing they won't have them on hand

Pic below is what they gave me. They didn't charge me anything maybe because I had insisted the OEM lugs would work. I'm a long-time customer, they probably didn't think it worthwhile to rock my boat.

Serg told me any basic thin-walled 22mm lug-length socket will work with the AW01 and OEM lugs.

It is looking lovely!

Do you mind sharing your efficiency numbers? :)
Thank you.

Sure :) - let me break them in and I'll have some accurate comparison against the routes I take. First take is about 2.43 miles per kw on my short 10 mile commute (average about 60MPH), but I think that it would get better.

Comfort and noise is the same as the 21's.
Also, same outside diameter. Rivian speedo showed 67MPH and Waze 66MPH with both, 21's and the 20's.
