7500 Multipoint Inspection

Is this inspection needed to stay current to maintain warranty? How much does it cost at a service center?

I paid $60 and that was just for the tire rotation. The inspection was free. @BrentInCO said he scheduled the 22,500 mile inspection and that one costs $340.

I don’t think they can force you to do the scheduled maintenance unless it’s all free.

Good to know. I’m dropping mine off on Tuesday for something else and I’m at 7200 miles. Maybe I can add it on when I drop it off.

Might as well also sign up for the next one since appointments are like 6+ months out. ?

If you have a garage or covered work space, Mobile service can do the 7500 mile. I had to go in because my garage is too small?

My garage has no available room, sadly. But, I have a lot of space on the flat driveway outside. Does it need to be a covered area?

I believe they do want it covered, but maybe they are more flexible in CA??‍

We're a long way from the nearest Service Center (300+ miles). How far out will mobile service come? We are now at 5,400 miles.

I imagine it could be different for each service center, depending on how many mobile service vans, techs they have, but I would guess their radius is less than 300 miles. Maybe if you turn on the charm you can convince them to stretch it a little further?

We were talking about this in another thread the other day, and I realized, Rivian has pulled the 22,500 comprehensive inspection off of their site: https://rivian.com/support/article/what-is-the-maintenance-schedule-for-r1-vehicles
It only lists the 7500 multi-point inspection now (in addition to the higher level ones for various fluids)

Uncertain. It DOES seem like (maybe, based on memory) they rolled down some of the 'bigger ticket' items from the 22,500 into all of the 7,500 intervals?

Or maybe they're just trying to streamline confusion. Every 7,500 period, so people don't fixate on (well, I can wait for the 22,500 because that's the 'bigger' one). FWIW: my next interval I'm going to hit is 22,500, and my app likes to remind me it's coming, so....we'll see...!

My guess is they had cars start coming in for the 22,500 service and noticed they caught all the items at 7500 so no need to have a 22,500 as redundancy since you would service 7,500 / 15,000 / 22,500 and so on.
