I just got the defender m/s2 on Saturday and am in the Dallas area as well. Maybe have 250-300 miles on them so far. Been hard to judge if better than the 20” AT due to the cold and high winds this week.
Yes. Wait at least about 500 miles. When I got the general grabbers, it was sub 2.0 for a good 100 miles or more. I am approaching 400 plus miles now and it is much better. This is today driving monitor by teslafi. 2.55 kwh and today is around 40 to 50 degree

Looks like my Nitto Ridge Grapplers are giving me 1.93MPK after 3700 miles. Running 43psi and exterior temp averaging 30 F.

Battery is shivering, why is the PSI so low? Should be 48 if XL and 65 if LT…. Need a video like opnwide did!

Finally did the first test run this morning. All highway driving. 2.2 mi/kwh. 65 to 70 mph speed. All purpose mode.
Temperature 53 degree
9 mph wind.
No ac/heat. Although, I did forgot the steering wheel warmer was on for half of the trip
Teslafi had about 1 more mile driven because my house is 1 mile off the highway. Teslafi number is at 2.36 mi/kwh.

That’s looking really good, I just did an hour of testing on 20” OEMs. Interestingly the speedo is off but computer is correct (set to 60 mph but phone and computer confirm it was 58).
Test conditions.
North of LA, 101, 85-125’ MSL, 55 F, damp road but not raining, light traffic. Air 65 F and fan set to 1. PSI 51-52.
1st Test AP 58 mph - 2.24 MPK (14.0 miles) end 5:48 am
2nd Test Conserve 75 mph - 1.96 MPK (13.7 miles) end 6:01 am
3rd Test AP 75 MPH - 1.66 MPK (12.6 miles) end 6:13 am
4th Test AP 65 MPH - 2.14 (13.5 miles)
Total of all tests:
AP - 1.99 MPK (40.1 / 20.15 kWh)
63 mph Average speed (40.1 miles / 38 min)
Total of 58 mph plus 65 mph tests:
63.5 mph (27.5 miles / .43 hours)
2.19 MPK (27.5 / 12.56 kwh)

Summary
At 75 mph Conserve is 0.3 MPK more efficient than AP
58 mph - 2.24 MPK (C. est 2.54)
63.5 mph - 2.19 MPK
65 mph - 2.14 MPK (C. est 2.44)
70 mph - 1.9 MPK
75 mph - 1.66 MPK (1.96 conserve)

hoping someone can check my math on this:
66 mph speed for 128kw would get a range of 269 miles (2.1 MPK)
73 mph for 128kw results in 230 miles (1.8 MPK)
Using conserve adds about 45 miles range…
Little surprised the 73 vs 66 makes that big of a difference!
At the same time, dropping from 66 mph to 60 gets only an additional 15 miles…interesting if true. Highlights importance of testing at 60 and 70 mph.

It was sitting below freezing in my garage for 3 weeks, also the TPMS apparently are that accurate I used a couple different gauges and the tires were all at 47psi. Have a 2hr road trip this week I’ll take some notes.

Adjusting that value for temperature you can add around 0.3 MPK, which gets you to 2.5 MPK…so looks like it’s right where it should be, any tests from 75-80 F? Should see 2.5 at 65 MPH, maybe 2.6-2.7 at 60 mph…

now that you have a few hundred miles on the grabber HTS60s, do you fell like the trade off is worth it? Just curious what your overall impression of the tire is (bumpiness, cornering, steering response, etc.)?

Absolutely. Ride is definitely softer. Cornering and steering are no different. I already can tell the efficiency is better than the 21" . I did not switch for efficiency. I paid total of 3500 for the combo aw09 and the general grabber . I would have pay 2500 just for the OEM 21” pirelli alone

As noted previously, I have the Conti Terrain Contact H/T (LT) in 275/65/20. I'm currently running them @ 47 PSI due to the Pirelli 20" tires calling for that PSI. Their max stated PSI is 80. Is this the correct inflation?
