As I see it, every cancelled Fisker reservation is a potential R2 buyer. ?‍♂
See, I don't look at it that way. Because I also have R2 reservations.

To those of you who own an Ocean, I feel for you. I expressed my pessimism about Fisker succeeding, even with Magna as a partner, given how their previous iteration in the automotive industry went, but that doesn't mean I wasn't rooting for them. I was. I just wasn't willing to put skin in the game.

Minus the issues that clearly need to be fixed with software, and the braking system, the Ocean has a lot of promise. I am hoping that one of the other OEMs that hasn't exactly lit up the market with their newest generation EVs (I'm looking at you Nissan) steps up to partner with Fisker.

Yeah but you treat objects like women, man.

Based on your auto purchase history I'd say you represent a very small portion of the market.
What do you think Rivian will give me on trade in for the Ocean in two years?

Drive it. Today I put my summer tires back on. Hard to believe I don't even have 2000 miles on these front brakes though.

Why are the brakes in such bad condition?

Sitting around with salt water on the brakes. Not convinced they have the brake balance quite right because I try to get some heat into the brakes after it sits for a while, and the rear brakes weren't nearly as bad. Next update has a feature that forces the vehicle to use the brakes occasionally if they are wet, so should hopefully improve things going forward. Who knows though.

Fisker's cold battery regen is way stronger than Rivian's, so even in the winter I haven't been hitting the brakes as much.

I'll still occasionally see the OG Fisker Karma kicking around the streets of Vancouver, funny enough, spotted one outside the Vancouver Auto show this weekend, as well as it's Chinese owned copy the Karma. Even today, some 20 years after its debut and downfall, Fisker can design a fantastic car that still looks good. Unfortunately, however, not the best business sense.

I will say, I'd sooner take an Ocean over a VF8 or a BZ4X "BusyForks"

Hopefully there will be another OTA but seems unlikely if they go bankrupt.

It's being pushed out currently but they haven't quite nailed down OTAs like Rivian has.

Edit: Update showed up for the second time as I was going to leave for work. Decided to chance it after I got to work. If it's gonna break something would rather it happen sooner than later.
