My wife does not shows up as a passenger in the front seat about 30% of the time with the seatbelt fastened. She is 105~108 lbs.

Not registering when seated means two key things:
1) no airbag support in case of an accident
2) passenger side climate control doesn't function separately from synced mode.

After multiple attempt with the service center/mobile service, Rivian can only say that it's within spec.

Rivian SC staffs say that SW fix is coming. That was 4 firmwares ago.

Instead of tinkering with some of the small infotainment enhancements, one would think that safety fix should be at higher priority.

Unfortunately the problem is so small in terms of affected population, they have done nothing to date.

In my pevious Audi, my 25lb dog could trigger the seat belt warning on the front passenger seat if he sat in the right spot..

I've been talking with service about the 50% SoC bug (it'll stop at 47%), but some reason they don't just look it up in their internal issues database and tell me it's already being worked on.

Why stop at 50% charge?

Me too! I don't care at all about the back seat experience.. I'd rather have all the improvements funneled towards the front half of the vehicle!

They've been talking about re-vamping the (virtually) worthless rear display - this seems to be a nice addition/fix to that. Something more for my kids to play with that I'll likely keep locked more often now ahhahaah

I literally just showed the "update progress" to the youngest because even at 17 she asks a version of "are we there yet"? ?

Memo to self: Use fewer pronouns. I meant that FORD should credit PlugShare, if using Plugshare's work. Sorry for the misunderstanding!

PlugShare didn't invent crowdsourcing. But they created a crowdsourcing app that many of us trust and use.

If Rivian/ABRP wants to develop a better crowdsourcing app, they owe nothing to anyone. But @azbill said Ford was using PlugShare's data -- and to use another company's data, Ford SHOULD give appropriate compensation and credit.

Don't get your hopes up. It's just going to be a streaming app and you'll have to pay for a specific VIN-tied account for your Rivian.

I have a current car+streaming subscription from my last vehicle that is still billing me every month

I thought it was going to be like spotify, where I login with my existing credentials and it's just an alternative music App.

You just missed it. Showed up for a minute as soon as it hit forums and trackers. Required latest RIDE code and only if on WiFi

As an aside, PlugShare is currently owned by EVgo as of July 2021. That's a relationship I'm not entirely happy about, but they haven't done anything evil so far. Similarly, ABRP was bought by Rivian in Jun 2023. So both of the major charger locator/review/routing apps/services are owned by charge point operators.

Nothing has been formally announced, but you'd probably have to transfer the account over to the Rivian's VIN. It's unlikely that there's a dormant xm radio on board.

They'll waive the activation transfer fee if you ask them.
