Hello RF’ers.
Every time I hook-up my trailer I seem to need to find the best/easiest way to check the trailer lights. The turn signals are no problem. But the parking/running lights is always a puzzle. I can get them to work by sitting in the seat and turning them on at the stalk. But they only stay on for a little while. A better way? Also, since this is such a high tech vehicle, there must be a way to apply the brake lights with out pressing on the brake pedal?

You can put it in show and tell mode to test the running/parking lights. Then I just usually use the hazards to test the brake and signals. On a 4 or 7 pin connector, the brake and the turn signal is the exact same wire and exact same bulb. If turn works, brake works. Using the hazards let you test both at once. It technically won’t tell you if you swapped right and left signals in the trailer wiring, but if I’m hauling a trailer I know is properly wired, all I really need to check is that the connection was good, and the bulbs still work.

Thank you.
