I'd rather Rivian take some of that money saved and try to hire one of the Supercharger geniuses Musk just fired—even if just for one year. I don't care how pretty the box the adapter is shipped in is. I care that I'd get one and that it works.

I would agree with that, but if you look at all the absolute waste this company spends on the service side for example- having to rent cars out for weeks as service centers are backed up, they would save much more money by hiring more staff and build bigger Service centers. They now have term'd all the guides (again poorly managed) and pushed those calls to the taxed SC staff who are already under staffed. How do you feel when you show up and they say they will look at your vehicle in 5-6 days? Again comes back to customer service and perception of a high end company, not a Kia.

4/10 delivery. Had put in a request with support for the reservation email. Got a confirmation on the ticket for which I got confirmation that I was added. Got the actual email to opt-in today.

It came in a Rivian branded box with enough packaging to keep it from breaking and it looks very recyclable. Totally on market for Rivian. Look forward to receiving it myself.

Not soon. They are just now shipping to early deliveries. Probably not even the first 8 months.

What, did they accidentally ship two adapters to everyone?

The email I got from them indicated supply chain issues. Mine got delayed from April until June. Ford shipped less than 1k adapters in April, there will be none shipped in May. I am sure Rivian deliveries will follow a similar pattern.

I think I am going to wait, the non tesla chargers are working just fine for me rn, I only have 1 EV and I think I can wait for the free one.

That’s good to hear. Could t tell from the Reddit pics and it almost looked tossed in. If it’s safe and sound, I’ll be happy.
Got another email from Rivian today and it was just for a space meeting!
Gmail makes me jump every time I see Rivian listed and haven’t seen subject yet

I just order mine for piece on mind during the spring/summer road trips.
My trip plans are counting on RAN, EVgo and EA but will keep SC in the back pocket if needed.
