Looks official! Time to run the social media blitz about how Rivian owners can now use the Tesla network with the factory supplied adapters!

Hard to tell with all the materials around that one, but Ford's presentation was nicely done from what I remember seeing of those. Would have been cool if Rivian could have done something there too

And then we find out Ford's recently announced adapter delay is they have a printing problem with the box, lol.

I prefer they ship them ASAP and not deal with pretty looking stuff that's going in the garbage when I receive it.

All while I'm still just waiting on that email from Rivian - that I'm sure will come in when I'm unable to actually validate my address for a few days due to travel

I don't know, they just announced that they are having delays and pushed everyone's date back.

If it's a Tesla issue, Rivian is probably not going to say much because they were smart and didn't give everyone dates, only the first ~1k were told s00n

It's slightly nicer presentation but also a waste of time and $. Once you unbox and know what to do with the adapter, you're never going to need/use any of it again and will likely end up in landfills (where a large amount of recyclables end up regardless). Offset printing, even on cardboard, is more expensive than most people think. Ford's box and insert is probably $10 a piece w/o postage. Multiply by number of customers it'd be sent to. That's a good chunk of $. Remember, Rivian does't have ICE revenue to subsidize its activities.

I agree...put the thing in bubble wrap and stop in an appropriate-sized box. Rivian can save the money used on a pretty box for other things...like being profitable.
