Where do you live? I'll keep an eye on your mailbox. (j/k).
MO, but I wanna see the quality between the official and the A2Z. If the A2Z is better quality, I may just keep the official one as a back up and keep on using my A2Z. So far it’s been flawless

Ergonomically, I'm gonna give the win to A2Z. The Tesla adapter might be shorter(?) but it's one brick. On the A2Z, it looks to be slimmer at the NACS end and likely easier to grab and control. Less likelihood of fumbling and dropping the adapter—as you struggle with tightness (giggity) of the interface, or that awkward lock.

One video I saw of the Tesla/Ford adapter, can't remember whose it was, they ejected it out of their hands when they tried to disengage the lock. From the looks of it, a little thought and technique is needed.

I was just trying to be funny. The hype around these adapters has gotten a bit crazy. On a more serious note-would love your feedback once you test them out. Cheers.

I’m not gonna lie, I was pretty shocked at the build quality. It’s top notch.

When it was still winter, and still no word from Rivian, there was certainly hype. But then as spring break and travel season approached, it turned into a practical need.

I have the A2Z, I have to say, I'm not a fan of the lock on the NACS side, it's slide style, so you need to push in the NACS end, then slide the connector. I'd prefer if you could just push them together and just push a button to disconnect (which is I believe what the Tesla one does). I'll have to compare when I get it.

Hard to tell with all the materials around that one, but Ford's presentation was nicely done from what I remember seeing of those. Would have been cool if Rivian could have done something there too
Yep ... needs a nice case like the A2Z unit.

They do it this way for a reason, safety. As the faulty batch of Lectron adapters demonstrated. With the A2Z, it will not charge unless to lock is engaged. And charging would stop if it is unlocked mid-charge.

The A2Z case was more cumbersome. I borrowed the A2Z adapter for my 4,800 mile trek from San Jose to TX to Moab and back. I put the adapter in the driver door pocket and easily pulled it out when charging at Tesla SC's. It would have been more of a hassle to unzip the container each time and to find a spot to put the case.

I unzip my pants every time I go pee. I don't see how that's a deal breaker. /s

Can't disagree with that :)

Just tossed in a large box.......

All while I'm still just waiting on that email from Rivian - that I'm sure will come in when I'm unable to actually validate my address for a few days due to travel
Forget the ? ...just wrap in bubble wrap......

While I agree that the presentation shouldnt cost alot for a cash strapped company, we have bought a $80K+ vehicle and should be provided with the care of a higher end clientele. Its all in the perception and they should still be making every effort to give you the best experience and think you are driving an amazing vehicle. This is a huge leap for the company, and at least for me a game changer on how I perceive this vehicle. Im a 1st time EV owner and the experience I had on some roadtrips last summer made me question if I made a good decision. After using the A2Z adapter last weekend my faith has been restored and I am once again in love with this thing. I really like the case that comes with the A2Z and know its safely in a padded case so it sleeps comfortably. I wouldnt use my in vehicle storage for these adapters, Ive had the tesla L2 adapter in my frunk and now my A2Z is safely in there as well. Ill probably get a case for the Rivian one. Ill await judgement until I get mine, but I think I like the smaller form factor of the A2Z and as someone suggested I put some grip tape on it which helps with any possible fumbling/drops.

I'd rather Rivian take some of that money saved and try to hire one of the Supercharger geniuses Musk just fired—even if just for one year. I don't care how pretty the box the adapter is shipped in is. I care that I'd get one and that it works.
