AC Seats issue

Has anyone noticed any issues with the AC seats? When I first took delivery they were so cold. It would feel like your back was wet the AC was blowing so hard. After 1k miles it no longer feels like the back works at all. I put my hand on it and I can slightly feel it blowing cold air. I had to take my R1T to the Franklin TN SC for tonneau cover install and told them about this. Between the loaner and the two demo cars, they all felt the same, no AC blowing on the back. They said they could warranty the seats out but no one knew what I was talking about. They said they all feel the same. Im afraid if I get new seats and they don’t work it would be for nothing.

The problem is that the seats are not AC. They are only vented. Hot air in the cabin = hot air through the seats. Try turning on the actual AC to the rear floor before turning on the vented seats.

Rivians don't have air conditioned seats, they have ventilated seats. All they do is recirculate the cabin air. Perhaps your expectations are just wrong?

7K miles in and they perform the same as new. As mentioned above they are not "AC" seats as much as they are fanned seats. Blast the car AC on LO and you will feel like ice.

I noticed this too when I first got the truck it was freezing and blowing hard. After about a month could barely feel it. That was a year ago. I think others have reported similarly on this. I wonder if it has to do with the padding incorporating the cooling holes collapsing or something.

Again, these are NOT air-conditioned seats. They simply blow the cabin air so, hot cabin air = hot seat air. There is no active cooling in these seats...

Most cars have just vented seats, but yea Rivian has much worse vented seats compare to 2019 Durango I previously owned.
When I talked to service about this their reply was: "we can not comment on vented seats operation of other vehicles" and "it works as intended, no problem found"

What helped me a lot, raise the seat so there is more air pickup from the floor level.

To those who mentioned they are not AC seats. Got it, but it still doesn’t change the user experience that I’m explaining. I did try putting the AC on in the rear both upper and lower and it did not change. Thank you to those who are trying to help problem solve.

You can change the fan speed you know ...
Rivian has modified the automatic fan speeds over the past 6 months in response to people complaining that the climate was noisy because the fan started at max in many situations. But you don't need to use the auto setting.

It was not an update. I just picked up my truck less than 2 weeks ago. Drove over 1.3k miles since I had it. NJ to Nashville. I’m debating on asking them to warranty the seat out. I just wanted to get others to see if they experience this aswell. Good to know I’m not the only one.

I've had the truck 18months and I agree when it was new the seats seemed to accomplish a lot more, I noticed it being way less effective after a few months. it was so cold I would have sworn they were actually AC seats vs ventilated, not anymore, regardless of setting

Anyone know a way to make the climate control settings "stick" so they always come back? Whether I remote cool or just get in the vehicle, everything resets to a default every time, which is so stupid. Seats off, floor cooling off, etc. In summer I always want all of them on all the time.

I concur with the volume of air the seat was able to blow - it's significantly less than what it was prior, and the driver seat is less than the passenger seat.

I can also attest to this experience. I have a 2022 R1T, and it blew ice cold that first summer. Something changed and summer of 2023 on it does not. SC's and techs said there wasnt an issue as air was still blowing, but something definitely changed. Did you ever get this resolved?
