So I currently have the standard 21” road wheels, I’ve preordered the 20” aw-09 but also considering getting a custom set.

Here's where I need help.

I’ve read many posts about wheels. Some say get 275/60 because the wheel diameter matches the 21” road tires. Others that go 20” end up getting the 275/65 (oem spec?).

so ideally would have an AT tire look with nearly as good efficiency as my 21” and I’d also like to avoid having to change tire configuration.

a post mentioned:

Cooper Discoverer AT3 XLT -275/60 and 275/65 were mentioned so it wasn’t clear which route to go. I like what I read about the efficiency and look.

I also heard the general grabber HTS60 would be great 275/60 for efficiency but, not so into the look.

I am now also considering the outpost AT and General Grabber A/TX both in 275/60.

All opinions and advice would be greatly appreciated!

or
35x10.50 (11.50 a bit more common) ((12.50 the most common is a bit wide unless you want to never go in low/lowest))

Is either size the most practical or efficient, nope. Are those what I’m looking at, yup.

I have the Michelin Defender M/S2 in the 275/60/20 size and no regrets. Efficiency is at least as good as the OEM 21", ride is great, tread wear is great.

All around great tires and the wheels look way better.

That looks like a road tire. I want a more AT tire look, but thank you!

I would also get the new AWZZ rims that Atomic has, it's only 25#, with this setup you'd be looking at 70# each wheel (rim+tire):

We got [AWZ1] weighed today. They are around 25 lbs.

Tough choice!

Or maybe the new Rivian 20" OEM (275/60R20)?

It doesn't look very capable though, more on-road oriented...which is fine for most.

Yeah I wanted a rugged looking wheel- that’s on me?
I have the aw09 and loved the look. As far as AT tires at 275/60/20. There are so many choices. I have the Nitto Ridge Grappler on my Silverado and love the way it looks and it is 116 Load rating which means Discount tires will install it.
