I am a farmer and have driven my R1T in pasture settings. I have had two underbody barrety covers tear off after contact with high grass/low shrubs. The plastic tabs that hold the covers in place have torn off. Anyone else with this problem??
Seem surprising for a supposedly offroad vehice.
Otherwise I love the vehicle.
Great towing capacity for trailering farm equipment, livestock trailers, etc..

Am a bit confused by this post. Can you share a picture? Do you have the stock plastic underbody shield or the upgraded "off road" shield? If the former, I would suggest looking into the latter. And maybe some running boards, as well.

Either way, the large panels should be held in by dozens of screws and bolts. Except for the small panels on the edges, which I think may be just held on with tabs and tape? Would be helpful to know exactly what you're referring to. There are several other people on this forum who use their trucks for farm purposes. Hopefully they can chime in with more ideas. ☺

Side panels are definitely weak, but they don't do anything to protect the battery, just the battery mounting points.

Also be careful with the front “skid plate”

it’s plastic and provides zero protection to the battery coolant reservoir and pump behind it. Learned the hard way ??

Yeah, there's pretty well zero protection. I picked up rock sliders, which helps some, but not in the middle of course.

I installed Sliders DIY and had to remove the plastic panels on the edges. There are three per side. Only the middle is held by "just clips and tabs" but they are a bitch to remove. The ones one either edge are held by 10mm and T20 screws. I had difficulty removing the panels by hand even after all the fasteners were removed. Perhaps overtime these clips have degraded by continuous driving over thick brush. I highly doubt the center ones will come off easily.

Under the battery, I have the Offroad Undershield so can't comment on that.

So another 1-post troller? Plenty of people here could help (assuming this were a legitimate question), but all of these "one post and out" guys seem pretty suspect. ?

Yeah - My favorite "One-Post Wonder" was the guy whose wife's luggage slid out the back when he launched: R1S Liftgate Opened While Driving
