Crucial SSD card not working

Looking for help with Drive Cam. Worked for a few days after our R1S purchase in April with a Crucial x6 1T SSD card. Since then, get no video. I've tried ejecting and re-insalling the card, but still nothing. Anyone have ideas?

I think I have the same issue and forgot about it. I will check this. I thought I saw a post that this stopped working after the last update.

I just checked mine and the attached error appeared when I accessed the drive cam menu. I restarted the infotainment sys and now it works. I wonder if heat caused problems with my SSD or the last update.

What happens when you try to use the device on a macOS/Windows/Linux computer. The first debug step on something like this is to try to isolate the problem. By using a computer to format the device, you can generally get a better idea about the state of the device. The failure mode for many devices is to go to read-only mode, which is easy to detect when plugged into a normal computer.

Where did you buy your drive and how much did it cost you? Many of the super cheap storage options sold on Amazon are garbage items that are not what the claim to be and really just small 32 GB microSD cards in a case made to look like legitimate options on the market.

Yeah, +1 on all this. Basic troubleshooting, and being sure you didn't get a fake.

Funny story...I ordered two Tesla items from Wish, knowing one was a scam. But they have an easy money back policy. One was a steering wheel weight to make AP stop nagging, the other was a supposed SSD for the dashcam. The SSD looked normal, but when opened... There was an 8GB junk flash drive inside, reprogrammed to report that it was 1TB. But the data would just be lost. And there was...A PIECE OF TILE. Glued in to give it weight. Not even a nicely cut piece, just random broken tile in it. LOL.

The problem is back, same error as above. I haven’t tried rebooting the infotainment yet but noticed the icon being crossed out on the main menu which prompted me to check it.
