Lol but I already have had those features since I picked up the truck last year. Minus apple music which is just yet another audio streaming service. So for owners this isn't a trial at all just a notice that your current feature set will be neutered in 60 days unless you pay.
So again there's nothing to trial.....

As I've said elsewhere, they were supposed to make people start paying in April, so it's more like you've already gotten 4 months of "trial period". Data was never going to be free for the life of the vehicle.
They are releasing new features like the gear guard live cam that likely won't function without paying for connect+. I expect they have more ideas on what to do with the data connection that will fall under the connect+ blanket.

So new cars get 2 months now?
I was told a year when I purchased so I'll be 2 months short of a year, not a big deal for me but those that purchased 2 months ago and were told a year should be pissed.

Already subscribe to Apple Music, so nothing new for me, but at least with Apple Music integration, we can now browse music and playlists while our selected track continues playing.
Not being able to do this with the other apps is my biggest pet peeve with the audio (Tidal and Spotify) integrations.
Rivian Engineers - PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE - I know it seems like a good idea to auto-launch every playlist and album with the first tap, but most of us who use Spotify, Tidal or Apple Music at home are used to browsing our apps, albums and playlists WITHOUT interrupting whatever the "now playing" selection is. People are used to "just looking" and/or building playlists without interrupting playback of their last selection. Sometimes we are just searching or browsing to try and remember a specific song or artist name. Actually <<PLAYING>> a new track should be another click, independent of viewing a playlist.
If this is already a setting somewhere, would the community PLEASE enlighten me.

Apple Music, Audible are available now to trial. Presumably GoogleCast and YouTube will be s00n before the 60 day expiration.....? Regardless of whether Apple Music is "just yet another audio streaming service", along with Audible, it's still there for you and everyone else to trial.

I totally get that Rivian can’t continue to provide free LTE indefinitely. I’m not bothered by them charging for it like most manufacturers do after a period of time. The difference here is nearly every other auto manufacturer on the planet supports CP/AA as an alternative to paying for an additional LTE subscription. Yes, I know we can tether and use Rivian’s apps. But tethering is very different than just using the phone to cast CP both from a cost and phone battery perspective.
If we had the CHOICE to either pay Rivian to use its native apps OR use CP/AA, I think there would be very little noise about the whole thing. Outside of Bluetooth, which is a poor option, we have two paths, pay Rivian for LTE or pay the cellular carrier for tethering.
But RJ has put the stake in the ground and it is what it is.

I’m going to see if I can cancel it as soon as I get it. No need for more subscriptions. I use Pandora and Amazon. Now I would need to tack on a new Apple Music subscription, Rivian subscription, a YouTube subscription, and so on. This all reminds me of old school cable TV.

Does anyone know when they will add bluetooth to Connect+? This is getting crazy!!! I miss my model S. The subscription was worth it since they provided such a great music platform. No Apple Music needed. Rivian isn’t listening to their customers. This isnt going to end well for them.

hey Rivian don't charge me for connect+ until you supply me with the tonneau cover I paid for from the factory that has never been installed.... Thanks

What if you just don't ever update? Not a great decision, but wonder if you'd still end up losing LTE at some point regardless.

the amount of people complaining about connect+ cracks me up. If you don't want to pay for it, just use the hotspot on your phone for data... At no point did they ever say we were getting free LTE forever. Heck there is a page on their site that talks about it ending dec 31 2023... so in essence we've really gotten 8 months for free past the original end date.

True. But tons of people have also been asking about CarPlay. Not everyone uses AppleMusic for music. I would say more use CarPlay to stream Apple music, Pandora, Spotify, take your pick. Carplay would make far more owners happy, including yourself. No need to reinvent the wheel.
