I can no longer differentiate between soft and firm rides anymore. It's all jarring and harsh. I've also noticed that this "stretch and flex" of the ride heights is no longer helping like it used to. I feel like my dampers are shot to hell.
That's good if they're clearly shot. That means you'll get the replacement upgraded versions.

The issue is when they're periodically showing symptoms or you're in a SC where they're fighting you tooth and nail to not replace them. I'm sure there is an incentive to deny.

Remember my truck has had the following fixes with all updated parts:

1. Cast Gen 2 Sub Frame
2. Jounce Lines
3. Updated washers and bolts for hub
4. Half Shafts

It's on 21" Wheels. I hope this helps and I truly have been worried that the harshness would come back after the stretch and flex gym moves, but it has not. I still have rough road battle scars that are drifting away from my mind due to the previous history. Now I realize and remember what the truck is capable of once again.

That is fantastic to hear. Hopefully I can get there, too.

The question will be how long does it last. I find a lot of variability between days. Some days I don’t hear any noises and other days it’s incredible noisy without any rhyme or reason.
This has also been my experience. I find that "exercising" it as the original poster suggested can make a difference, but it doesn't necessarily last. In my case, the car went in for service because in addition to the harsh ride, I was getting a bunch of warnings about the suspension needing service, about needing to stop the vehicle because it was raising and driving could cause damage, failed kneeling, and in one case a situation where my R1S almost felt like it was "bottoming out" when driving over a mild speed bump at low speed. Fingers crossed the service folks, who are overwhelmed (but very nice) don't return it with a "we couldn't duplicate the issues" comment (I took lots of photos and video, but...). But whatever happens I do think running through the range of heights helped for me, even thought it wasn't a permanent fix.

I would second this. I do notice that the ride quality has deteriorated over the past few months. With 2024.19 it was great. Now passengers complain the ride is too bumpy.
After my damper replacement my 2022 R1T continues to show little difference between firm and soft. The highest-to-lowest exercise seems to help a bit but not for long.

Makes it seem like a software Issue.

Is it possible that Rivian disabled the 2024.19 ride comfort intentionally to prevent damage or wear to some components? Like these “dampers”?

How’s ride harshness / comfort for folks now, any updates or insights?

I still have intermittent harshness. I even switched my 22s out for the OEM 20" ATs. I expected a better ride over uneven roads with the better sidewall. No change. Crazy.

With only 1800 miles on my Gen2, it already feels less solid driving it. It's harsh, rattly, and more sloppy/shaky in the steering than when new.

I can no longer call it solid feeling to drive. It's all over the place, somedays worse than others. Same roads, same ambient temps, same vehicle settings. What gives?!

2024 R1T DM. I really struggle to feel any differences between the three ride settings.
I don't feel any difference, either. When my truck is in that certain mood, everything mode seems jarring, no matter what I do.

I’d love to know if it’s a car hardware thing or a software / computer settings thing…

With the comfort improvements in previous updates the suspension got super nice but then some people were complaining about squeaks and bounciness… and failing dampers…

Those who have harsh rides, have you tried what was suggested by the OP of this thread yet?

Very short lived. I notice marginal improvement for about a day.

Has Service looked at it? I think that would probably be the next step.
