The headlights were one of the things that gave me pause when I was considering buying the Rivian. It's been a year and I'm used to it now mostly because I don't see the headlights 99% of the time. It's just different. I get a lot of comments from random strangers on how much they like the headlights. So, to each their own.
It would be very odd for a random stranger to criticize the headlights. I have a lot of close friends that all think the headlights heavily detract from the overall positive aesthetic of my R1S. Personally I don't like them. But obviously not enough for me to avoid buying the vehicle.

I love the Rivian headlights. In an era of so many monotonous, look-alike sedans, pickup trucks and crossover SUVs, a Rivian stands out. When you see one - and this is staring to apply not just to Rivian owners but to everyone - it is instantaneously identifiable as a Rivian. That is great branding - sort of like the old BMW grille (although IMO, BMWs have lost some of that identifiable branding with their grille re-design half a decade ago or so).

When you say that you don't like them, do you mean the headlights or the friends?

What a coincidence! I was doom scrolling through Jeb Corlis and wingsuit posts and saw this ?. Oh so apropos ?

Edit: yes, this is about not being baited into online arguments. Much better to have them in person with your brother-in-law.

Unless the Scout has integrated headlight heaters or halogen bulbs, it's going to be the same issue there...
Maybe/maybe not, but the intent of my reply was rebutting the “they work great” accolade.
