Garage Door Location Messed Up

The location based garage door functionality seems to have stopped working for me in the past week or so. When driving up to my house it no longer pops up on the driver screen for activation on the steering wheel, I need to tap the main screen to open the door. My back garage doesn't show up at all anymore. I've tried deleting and resetting the location for each but still no go. Also, my home garage pops up when I start the truck when I'm not home. ???

Do an infotainment reboot. Then under settings>connections>Garages tap to edit your garage. Remove location. After removed add your home location back (of course you will need to be in that location when you do this).

Since the Halloween update, I've had to restart the ui and turn off the location of my doors and back on again to get them to show when I pull up at my house, but the doors also appear everytime I slow down under 20 mph, no matter where I am. I think they created this bug with the latest release.

I simply turned off and back on the display location and it fixed it for me. Ironically a second garage I have programed in for my mothers home never stopped working, just my home location.

It's a known bug. Rivian is planning to correct in next release.

The work around that has worked for me...

Delete garage door locations.
Do full reboot.
Add locations back in after reboot complete.

My steeringwheel button has stopped working since last OTA, but the dash screen still works. I will wait till next OTA and that will likely fix this.

I had them not show up after the halloween update and a reboot of infotainment solved it.
Over the weekend the behavior changed and the first garage door in my list would just show up whenever I was driving under 20 mph. Couldn't change it to the other one.
Reboot of infotainment seems to have solved that one as well

The reboot plus removing and adding back in the locations for each garage door seems to have fixed it for me.

Another thing I notice which is not directly related is the handoff between wifi and cellular. I need to get fully out of distance from my home wifi for Alexa to be able to respond. If I try it while in the driveway or street while the car still has 1 bar of wifi it won't work.

Yep - I'm in the same camp. Lost the steering wheel button garage door opener 2 upgrades ago (the one prior to the Halloween update) and no amount of resets has restored it. Calling Rivian support was less than helpful (granted this wasn't with a tech) who said that can be set from within settings - which it can't AFAIK.

Everything works fine for me but, the oddest thing, now no matter where I am when I go into Park the steering wheel button for Home now pops up. I’m 200 miles away from home.

Agreed, had to delete and reinstall garage location. Then I rebooted just infotainment then total and it is STILL popping up when I slow under 20mph! Must be a bug. Any fixes I haven't tried?
