I am planning my first long trip in my R1T for early January. When I use the trip planner in the app it always plans using the current battery charge. I will have 100% when I leave - is there a way to plan the trip starting at 100% when the real time charge is less than 100%?

I use ABRP to do this. Rivian purchased ABRP and some of it was incorporated into Rivian vehicles but the app itself is amazing for planning and managing road trips. You can even connect up live data from the vehicle if you want

As Ken said, use ABRP to plan out your trip ahead of time. And unfortunately you should still also check those charging stations in Plugshare so you don’t get surprised by any that are down or too busy to be useful.

Yes. When creating your trip through the Rivian app, there is a little drop down arrow next to the percentage. Click that and you can update your departure range there.

I'd say get the Tesla member pricing, NACS to CCS adapter and take advantage of the superchargers, they tend to be reliable.

Just use PlugShare or the Tesla app to make sure the Tesla SC's are open to non-Teslas before you count on charging there - Not every SuperCharger is open to Rivians.
