Gen1 Software Instability? (2024.43.1)

Hey everyone, I've noticed some increased instability after updating to 2024.43.1 and I just wanted to check if others have experienced an increase in instability as well.

I've got a 2023 Gen1 R1T.

Things I've noticed:

1. Infotainment hard crash while driving (screens go black, only speedometer visible for a minute or two)
2. Apple Music claims it's playing music, but there's no sound coming out of the speakers. Infotainment reset fixes it.
3. Dashboard visualizations lag heavily when the Camera app is open

I haven't updated yet, but sounds like another update I'm going to leave on the shelf for now. I pretty much always wait a few weeks now before updating.

Apple Music still needs work.

Seems to really struggle with hand off between hone WIFI and 4G. So right when it needs to load stuff to play as I back out of garage....it pauses....screen resets....says no data....eventually by changing playlists and making it try again...once away from WIFI it will recover.

But....needs work....

A couple, actually. Infotainment resets at least. I've only needed to do one every 6 months or so, but since this most recent update I've done 3, and it hard crashed and reset itself once.

So far it's been more stable for me. Apple music actually remembers what you were playing now, so it's actually somewhat usable for me now.

So far I haven’t experienced any of that since updating. Apple Music still does weird stuff but that is nothing new.

The primary issue for me has been the lag between screen changes.

I've had all these symptoms happen with past updates. I have yet to install this latest update though. Unless it has some really great features I am looking to explore, I usually let it sit for a few days and watch for feedback from others before I install.

Just installed last night and yes, count me in on experiencing several instabilities (i.e. all screens blacked out while driving today, laggy screen). It boggles my mind that a reset still isn't inherent in a software update.

One of the issues with Apple Music we've been dealing with is the different accounts. I'll log into my AM account and then later the playlist will include stuff from my wife's account and the names of the songs & band names don't match. I've had to log out and then log back in to AM and i've also done software resets too. But I haven't heard of too many others having this issue though.

So far zero issues with the latest update. I was driving a loaner R1S with a June '23 build date on the new software as well, just got my January '23 build R1T back, update installed last night. Same experience, stable and quite responsive, especially when opening the cameras, and switching between apps.

Hard crash happened to me four times on a six hour trip this past weekend. Each time it was playing a Dolby Atmos track, the track suddenly stopped and then shortly after it crashed. I keep telling myself to turn off Atmos but always forget while I'm parked. Atmos tracks are hit or miss in general so I figure it is worth seeing if it improves anything.

Updated last Friday, no problems. 13 hr trip on Sunday no issues. I don't use Apple Music but did use Tidal, Audible and Tune in without any issues.
