First charging experience at a Tesla SC and just happened to be at a Magic Dock in St. Pete (only one in Florida). This couldn’t have been any easier (even a child could do it - just not my 11yo who was more interested in napping).

Plugged in and started charging after 10-15 sec handshake. Arrived with 40% SOC and pulled 127 kW max. Cost was $0.47/kWh which I thought was reasonable compared to other stations in area that charge $0.50-$0.60/kWh.

Overall, a great first Tesla charging experience - look forward to more Tesla SC charging on road trips using A2Z Typhoon Pro (waiting for Rivian to send me adapter - no complaints, as many have waited way longer than me). I’ll do anything to avoid other charging stations (pronounced EA) that I’ve had the “pleasure” of visiting with the added bonus of being located in a sketchy area that’s poorly-lit after dark.

100% agree with you, only thing you need to do is change your filter in the navigation to Rivian / Tesla for charging. I’ve had my rivian adapter for over a year, it’s not even though anymore about long distance travel.

It’s somewhat justifiable - long day yesterday with travel softball so daughter was tired (hours and hours of fun, kinda wish they’d have a cash bar - they’d make a killing). Then Dear Old Dad dragged her out of bed early today for some hiking and fresh air. Beautiful time of year here in Florida - trying to impress upon her (but not always successful) the importance of getting outside and enjoying each day that we’ve been blessed with … there’s more to life than just her iPad ?

You’re a good Dad. Keep it up?

Having grown up in St Pete, I can confirm, this is a lie and there are no hikes within an hour.

I hope your daughter sees through your web of lies sooner rather than later.
Those are some harsh words. I never said we hiked in St Pete. We were passing through on our way back today and stopped for breakfast at a cool mom and pop waffle place we’d heard about in St Pete. Tesla SC with Magic Dock was a few minutes away so charged up before driving up to hike at Manor Ridge near Brooksville. My daughter likes it there because it’s nicely paved and easy to roller blade. Lots of storm damage still and high swamp water but otherwise a nice park.

I'm sure others have mentioned previously, but the A2Z adapter >>>> Official adapter. I got my A2Z early summer and my official a couple months ago. I think you'll find you'll like the A2Z a bitter better than the official as the build quality falls below the A2Z.
