7o min video review of lightship…with these was an option to add another 70+ kw battery to add…I understand the weight issue just nice to have for a few reasons.
Love it but 200k plus is expensive

I find the Pebble Flow more appealing and doesn’t have the huge fail point of that motorized lifting system. Hope it has a manual override, otherwise camping trip is over. And it looks like you’re towing a coffin in tow mode. ?

I am kind of mixed on it, I haven’t seen either in person, I like the lay out better in the lightship.

I have 2+ yrs left on my R1S lease before I consider something to pull it… R1T on a Trimax would be nice to go with either or… but 325k for both is a lot of money.

It looks cheap looking considering what they are charging for it. I understand the battery and tech costs money, but the pebble flow looks more commensurate with their asking price. Also Kyle mentions he would like to get one, but they have reservations for years. He's angling to cut the line on this too. Cut the line Kyle never stops cutting.

No double axle is main reason I wouldn’t consider a pebble.

I believe somehow the motors compensate for any swaying. Supposed to know more on 1/6 when they reveal production intent Pebble.

It’s really nice to have two axles when you blow a tire. Makes what can otherwise be a completely trip ending wreck into an almost non-event.

To me, this is missing the main point of camping. You can stay in a lot of 5* resorts for that much money.

Seems great - just WAAAAY too expensive. (Yes, I know, luxury RVs are expensive, but this would need to drop below $100k for me to even begin to consider it. Hopefully they do a lower-end model.)

I know it seems expensive but has anyone looked at the cost of a airstream? Heck our little Apex 245BHS Ultra-Lite was in the 40k range. The one the wife wants which is the Imagine 2970RL (rear living room) is around 60k.

The price is not really that bad when you consider that its going to make towing a breeze with an EV as well as have power for off-grid camping. Its out of our budget though for sure. Can't justify it for our needs.

There’s a pretty large price gap between 60k and 250k for this light stream

I saw this at the EV show, it was pretty bare bones. Not nearly enough storage due to all the windows. Pebble looks better overall except horrible exit angle. Instead of a traveling hotel I'd like something more rugged capable of off-grid boondocking in the 22' range. But I do think these are the eventual answers to EV-RV towing.

Agreed.

I'm hoping this sees the light of day, but I'm also not holding my breath... Seems like a very reasonable alternative, if it does

And there's this: https://www.airstream.com/air-lab/concepts/estream/

For the kinds of money we're talking about I'd rather stick with a proven RV company with service locations that won't go out of business. I'd expect Safari to make an e-RV sooner or later.
