It gives you (the person purchasing the vehicle) and the person who’s referral code you use (an existing Rivian owner) $750 to use in the gear shop and 6 months of free Rivian Adventure Network charging. Basically a win win!

I believe it drops to $500 of gear shop credit after the new year.

I haven’t purchased a Rivian since the referral program existed, but I believe there is a place to enter the code when you put the deposit down. Or you should be able to follow the link I posted (if you want to use my code).

I’d be happy to answer other questions about the purchase process (we have 4 R1Ts as a business—one launch, one demo, and two leased, so I have a decent amount of experience with their purchase/lease process and warranty service).

This past month we ended up raising 73k for charity and used all my rewards as the prizes, bought alot of rivan gear already so don't need more Bullshit haha. I'd use future rewards to do this more often because shit it feels great.

One more thing to know, @kazbekp: The Referral Code rewards apply ONLY to vehicles purchased or leased (from start to finish) in the "R1 Shop" of existing vehicle inventory (https://rivian.com/experience/purchasing, then press the "Shop Now" button).

Custom builds aren't eligible. If you start with a Custom Build order, then convert to the Shop because it would get you an almost-right vehicle sooner, that's NOT eligible for Referral Code rewards. You have to cancel any Custom Build orders, then place an entirely new order in the R1 Shop.

Here's a current FAQ sheet: https://rivian.com/support/article/what-are-rivian-rewards . The rewards have certain expiration dates and lifetime limits. The "Terms and Conditions" at https://rivian.com/legal/rewards are also useful.

I believe the Referral Code program does not include Demo vehicles (https://demovehicles.rivian.com/collections/all, filter on "Availability"). But I'm not sure of that.

That is awesome! …having said that, I am hoping they put the powered tonneau in the gear shop. Would help offset the cost. But, failing that, you have me thinking.

@doit82: One of mine was officially pending as of New Years Day and was later credited at $750. I don't know the exact software parameters.
