Just got a set of 275/65/20 installed yesterday. Initial reaction, way smoother than my stock pirellis, look great, and a lot quieter. Keep everyone posted about the mileage.

Just installed a set of Fuel Rebel wheels and 275/60/r20 Nitto Grappler G3’s. Ride is quieter than the 21’s and better ride IMO. 10% range hit due to wheels offset but love the look much better. Lots of comments from people in public praising the look too.

Any update on the rams and efficiency of the Nitto’s or the Toyo’s here? I’m currently on the market for new tires and wheels.

As probably the only person that had both tires, the toyos are definitely more efficient. I’m at 1200 miles and overall efficiency is at 2.05. I just did a 550 mile round trip with car completely loaded and had cruise set between 75-78 for most of it, minimal traffic, temps 45-70, some city driving, efficiency for that trip was 2.15. Average speed including city driving ended up at 57.

Curious why did you switch from the Toyo to the Nitto?
I just got a set of Nitto’s installed. First week efficiency was horrible. (Like 1.65)Its definitely getting better. I have 184 miles on them. I’m currently at 2.03.

There was s vibration above 50 with a noise. They were on back order so couldn’t replace them. Did about 1400 miles on them before replacement.

What size did you get, makes a big difference…

Both of mine were 275/65 20. Cold psi 48.

48 is what Rivian specs specifically for the factory tire. I would look into what Nitto recommends based on your GVWR + 20%.

That’s max threshold for the tire. Not recommended pressure for the R1.
