Yes, the functionality is in the Atlas App but it has not yet been released for public demo. Likewise automatic leveling and tongue jack operation has not yet been released for public demo. We are still 7 months before first production unit is sold. So everything now is essentially beta release. See screen shot below.

That's nice, I assume it can maneuver when collapsed?

I see no reason why not. You can get into the RV in the drive mode. Headroom decreases from 7' 5" to 4' 5" in drive mode. It will transition from road to camp mode in about 90 seconds.

Is there a lighter version / smaller battery pack?

From Google AI:

Lightship currently offers one RV model, the AE.1, with three variants:

  • AE.1 Cosmos Edition: This is the flagship model with a focus on luxury and off-grid capability. It includes a long-range battery for extended electric range, advanced solar power capabilities, and premium features.

Deliveries are expected to start in summer 2025.

  • AE.1 Panos: This mid-range model offers a balance of features and affordability. It includes integrated solar roof panels and a single battery providing an estimated 140-mile range. Production is expected to begin in spring 2026.

    Lightship AE.1 Panos RV

  • AE.1 Terros: This entry-level model is designed for traditional towing and prioritizes affordability. It features integrated solar roof panels and a single battery but doesn't offer the electric drivetrain assist capabilities or the extended range of the Panos and Cosmos editions. Production is expected to begin in late 2026.

All compelling but I can't afford to swap vehicles just to tow, so between the two, I'd go with the Pebble, but the Lightship is quite impressive!

The AE.1 Panos is basically similar in price but a little larger than the Pebble Flow but it will not be delivering until 2026.

Given the current production estimates from both LightShip and Pebble, if you are interested in a mid range model I would suggest waiting until mid year to make a choice. I suspect there will be many changes by the time both companies start shipping their premium models.
