A.

01/20/25 Update: Tesla has now added prices for parts to its online Parts Catalog and customers are now able to order some (not all) of the more common replacement parts online.

Hopefully, Rivian will copy this model and develop an online parts catalog. Maybe Rivian could ask for volunteers to help set it up? I would volunteer (e.g., work at home; add parts one-by-one to spreadsheet; send results to Rivian). (Does Rivian have an online suggestion box?)

B.

Here is the part number for Gen 1 Front License Plate holder, optionally supplied by Rivian in states that require it: PT00006451 (Rev. E).

***

Part # PT00006451 (Rev. E)
Description: Front License Plate Holder (Gen 1; R1T & R1S)

Notes:
  • Probably fits Gen 2 R1T & R1S also.
  • Probably superseded(?) by Part # PT00777205-D (for Gen 1 & 2; R1T & R1S)

***

Does anyone happen to know whether this Gen 1 front license plate holder will fit Gen 2 front bumpers? Has the front bumper design (and front license-plate holder) changed with Gen 2 vehicles?

I just looked up the front license plate parts for '22 and for a '25 and they are exactly the same.

Thanks. BTW, where do you go to look up that information? Is it available to the common folks?
No not public. I am connected to the Rivian Business Partner network and can order parts.

Edit - BTW, they do use a new part # PT00777205-D but states that it is backward compatible.

Now you've done it. Expect to get, like, a zillion requests to look up part numbers from others on the Forum. :)
I figured I'm fairly safe, this thread isn't very busy.

Can anyone (besides @LivingInKaos :)) confirm the part numbers for Rivian crossbars, Dark and Bright?

Thanks.

Preliminary guesses (from eBay and other online sources, including Rivian Crossbars Guide document):

Dark
  • PT00055308 ?
Bright
  • PT00055308-J ?
"J" is probably signifies a newer version. Seems like there should be additional numbers/letters to differentiate between dark and bright models.

Haven't yet been able to find a photo of a box that provides the part number.

Excellent! This is handy info because (a) crossbars are popular but (relatively) expensive, (b) unsurprisingly the dark version seems to be the most popular at the moment, (c) there are a lot of bars for sale on the Internet, but (d) some ads are...hesitant...to reveal exactly what color they are.

BTW, I was just getting ready to post this photo (from an eBay sale of dark crossbars):

Rivian R1T R1S Rivian Part Numbers - A Crowdsourced Parts Catalog Box - 4

Is it possible that (a) this is not a Rivian product or (b) Rivian has changed the part number (as we've seen with the front license plate)?

If they changed it, it would still come up in the search, which it doesn't. It looks like the part# for just the middle section though, yet it isn't listed as a child (sub) part. I do believe it's legit as it follows the same numbering scheme, closest I could find is:
PT00012155-B-002
PEWT-ROOF TOP TENT

Wow, what did I do? Guess it's time for me to quit altogether.
Ha, ha. No, you did nothing wrong. I just didn't want you inundated with requests, is all.

*****

Seriously, this little mystery (of the unknown part number for crossbars) points to the need for a Rivian parts catalog.

Unfortunately, Rivian is probably a little busy right now trying to survive as a company. Developing a parts list for the public may be low on the priorities list, I imagine.

The parts catalog/list exists, but access is limited to the partner portal. It's easy to use with various search criteria (category, name, part#) and using the VIN gets you better results.

Does anyone know where this module lives on the R1S gen one? Ours was replaced under warranty and it didn't solve the issue. I wonder if a cable isn't connected securely.

Rivian PT00000036-M

https://www.ebay.com/itm/156389591841
Module, Driver Assistance, Secondary

It's under the center storage area, in front of where the speaker pulls out. It looks like a real pain in the ass to access.

Why do you mention an unsecure cable? Funny enough, service guide says this:

Tip:
Mark the locations of the connectors so they can be reinstalled in the proper locations.
