Question on the Rivian Service Kit Air Compressor

Good morning!

It is a toasty 10 degrees here in Rhode Island.

I have a Rivian R1T that came with a Rivian Service Kit Air Compressor. As I mentioned, it's 10 degrees here. My husbands car has two tires with a TPMS warning to add air. Can I use the kits air compressor without the tire sealant canister to add air to his tires?

I think the answer is yes; I was able to connect the filler hose directly to the compressor. Just want to confirm.

Yes. It's a pain to get the cord wrapped up and back in the package again though.

Having used the hose and kit over a dozen times, its not that bad, you get pretty efficient at repackaging everything. Sometimes, it can help to just feed it back into the case directly rather than trying to re wrap it prior.

Yes use the case and feed it directly into it and wrap it up with the Velcro afterwards.

That hose going back into the case is about like trying to arm wrestle an octopus! I've found it's easiest to put the case back in the door then feed that blasted thing slowly back into the bag...and hope that by the third try, you can recluse the door covering the kit.

the OP said that it is like 10 degrees outside and the hose may go in easier if you leave it in the cabin for a drive, then try to put it back in while it's still warm.

Haha, yeah it's a bit tricky - I did see someone on here post a cool holster for the compressor hose that goes in the bed, kind of like a garden hose wheel, which sounds pretty handy if you use it regularly. I used mine for our snow tubes yesterday! Ha.
