With Apple Music, when I get in my R1T, Gen 2, the volume starts extremely high. Before I leave the truck, I turn it down. When I get in again, it’s extremely loud. Any ideas on what I’m doing wrong/need to do to maintain the same volume that it was set when I left?

The volume automatically goes down by a few notches when a door is open, then goes back up when the doors are closed.. is this what you're experiencing?

The music does decrease when I open the doors, but that’s not the issue.
For example, let’s say the volume is at 10 when I get to work. I go into the office all day. When I get back at the end of the day, I open the door and the volume is at 17 or thereabouts (which is pretty damn loud). Since the music automatically starts playing, I’m blasted by loud music whenever I get back to the truck. It makes no difference whether I’ve turned the volume down before I got out. Maybe I’ll do a software reset and see if that corrects it.

Yeah that's odd. Never seen that one before. A reboot is where I'd start for sure

I'm having the exact same issue. I've been meaning to post and ask if others are too. I'm thinking it's a bug after the last update.

I am having this exact issue as well. I can have the volume set at 2 when I get out of the car but after it's sat for a bit and I get back in it starts at least 10 if not higher. It's annoying for sure.

Same here - I started noticing this yesterday. My daughter was asleep on the drive home last night, so I had the volume at 2. This morning upon entering the car, the volume was 10+.

At least I'm not getting the "No internet" glitch. So progress ...

I don’t use Apple Music but had this happen twice about two weeks ago. No issues since.

I was experiencing the same before the last update. It is gone after the update, but some other bugs have been introduced - like being prompted to reset multiple times per day

Turn off Sound Check in your Apple Music settings in the Rivian
Mine is off, and while it helps with sound quality, it doesn't do anything to fix this issue on my truck.

Same - sound check is off. I'm thinking about turning off the dynamic volume, though haven't tried this yet.

I did experience the same issue of the volume going up to 17 when I entered the vehicle.

This happened to me yesterday with Tidal. Here's the sequence:
Got in the truck, Tidal thumbnails were just the generic 1/8th notes symbol. It's been that way for a couple of weeks and I thought, I might as well just do an infotainment reboot which usually fixes the thumbnail thing.

Did the infotainment reset, screens never came back. Stayed blank with a black screen but truck otherwise acted normally.
Did another infotainment reset.
Screens came back. Things seemed normal.
Got out of the truck to simulate a new entry.
When i went back in music started as I opened the door. Loud. I noticed the volume was at 17. (I think)
When I closed the door the volume went to 25.
I'll pay attention to see if it happens again.

Yep. I noticed the same thing happening. It started after the most recent software update. I have to say that I’m not impressed with Rivian software. Lots of glitches.
