Best way is to get something like the Chun Li mount if you want to move between vehicles. I am in the process of buying on just so I can easily put it out of sight in my truck. It is a little more money but will save wear and tear on the connectors.

It says Comma '3', but does it mean '3x'?

Great news! Rivian is now officially supported by Comma AI, and the harness is only $99! Anyone looking to order, you're going to need the Comma 3X, Rivian harness, 8 degree mount, and a 10 foot USB-C extension. I'm not sure if Comma will send you the 8 degree mount or extension with the harness or not, it was just listed today. Enjoy!

Well, that stings a little since I just spent a grand for the harness... Hopefully our early adopter investment helped speed this along. Maybe they can send us an official harness for free.

Yeah that was to help fund the development, I did the same. Lukas does this unpaid. Thanks to all of those who contributed and helped bring the Rivian support to fruition.

This is really exciting, and even sooner than I'd thought it would be!

Any word on how well the experimental mode handles stop signs and traffic lights?

"Traffic light and stop sign handling is also available in Experimental mode"

Anyone know if this will work while towing? Rivian highway assist does not.
Yes it works the same while towing, no problem. I have used it in previous vehicles while towing.

Just got an email form Lukas who had been working on this and helped make such great progress in the last few weeks. He thanked everyone for their support and spoke about an upgrades he is working on and will provide a detailed guide to implement it when he returns to Germany.

I don't want to quite his entire letter but I think this part is of most interest to all.
"The biggest challenge at the moment is the lack of SET speed availability. Openpilot needs to know the maximum speed a user wants to ride, but currently this cannot be set using the steering wheel buttons."

He is working on some workarounds and will continue development. You can buy a much cheaper harness than what some of us paid to support his work from him here:

Both the 8 degree mount and long USB-C extension are included according their documentation:

How is this harness different from the one at comma.ai website which is $99 only?

I was happy to help support the prototype's development, installation, and test. I would do it again if anyone can break the newer Stellantis coding so I could use openpilot again on the newer Grand Cherokee.

I just ordered one as well. Lukas provided his design for the harness to comma.ai, so they are identical. His shipping estimate is 1-2 weeks, comma website has an estimated ship date of 4-6 weeks.
They only provide a USB-C coupler. You will still need a USB-C extension cable for this installation
