Many of us switch from 21" to 20" size of 275/60/20 all seasons tires and have achieved same or better efficiency as 21". With the new update came out , the prediction of 100% charged went down from 305 all purpose to 285 miles. I know for sure this is not true with my general grabber hts60 since my efficiency was about 5% better with 18k miles on it than my 21" OEM.
Is it just a general prediction Rivian based on with their good year tires ?

We saw the same. The more accurate wheel may be 22 sport (same diameter if you have 265/60 tires).

The 21, 22" and 20 " (275/60/20) are 33". Plus or minus 0.1". I guess I will keep it at 20" and see what is the true prediction value is with the Rivian computer. Maybe it will change later

I am thinking I may just do a 70 mph highway range test this weekend. I think this needs a little empirical data. If I am able to find a 6 hour block of time with nothing else going on...

It would be totally great if, at some point in the future, we had a master database on here of all known wheel/tire combinations and the Rivian UI selection that most accurately calcs range, speed, etc.

I am in process of switching from 21 to 20” as well. I have the wheels but not the tires yet. I have not really looked into the difference before so I was a bit afraid loosing range with 20”s. What 20” tires you think will keep the range in par with the 21”? I have seen a post about the GY tires that is more towards off-roading and driving in Snow/Rain. I am in SoCal so not much really snow for me. Just working truck.. so I am looking forward for your test. And what tires

Replaced our 22 in sports brights with 20 in sport brights and Michelin ltx/ms2 275/60/R20. I think it has the same range as the 22s, so far about 1200 miles on it but we like ride better on the 20s

I had the general grabber hts60 for 18k miles. The efficiency is better than 21".

What tire settings are you now using with the latest update for the General Grabber 20? I have a set coming as well.

If you want the best prediction of this tire, I would use the 21" and not the 20" all season that came standard with wheels switching .
I had 16k miles on the 21" OEM pirelli at 2.30 kWh and 18k miles on th grabbers at 2.31 kWh . Both sets went thru a summer and a winter in Texas . These numbers are 95% driven in all purpose mode.
Don't be discourage with the grabbers for the first 500 miles. It is very sticky and i got sub 2.0. It lasted 18k miles and I have 4/32" thread left and I just switched to the rivian good year AT

What tires do you have on yours and did you do the test?

20" "rim" range has always been 285miles on the quad, or 458km. I made the mistake of resetting my range efficiency when it was increased ages ago to 465km? It's been holding at 458 ever since.

So I would assume changing tires via the wheel swap, will default to the OG spec for that Rim Size and not so much the tire's efficiency. ex 20" road tires vs 20" AT's with aggressive treads.

Are you on the 20 inch wheel now with the grabbers? Can you please list the spec for the grabber? And finally, does it equal the overall wheel+tire circumference of factory AT wheels plus pirelli AT tires?

I have the factory 20 AT wheels with original pirelli AT. In the Winter I run the Blizzak LT that have the same circumference. But I am just about at 30,000 miles and the ATs (with only half that mileage) are way louder than the Blizzak. So when I come off my winter tires shortly, I may just swap in new grabbers or something like that.

I offroad a bit but it is all soft sand where my LE Quad gets me no problemo (airing down really is the most important thing in soft sand).
