Yeah, just happens, but I keep my tonneau closed 90% of the time, so I don't really think about it anyway. Minor grievance, but it's a plastic latch, oh well.

Get the 3D printed clip. Mine's been good for, gosh - over a year now? Looks like someone's finally got them on Amazon? I would've thought a forum sponsor would sell them direct by now.

OP, is this on a G2 R1T? I just THIS morning picked up my 2025 G2 R1T and while going over it in my garage I noticed that the compressor door appeared to be different from the one on my 2024 G1 (which did not stay closed). On my new G2, there seem to be ‘detents’ or something inside the hinge plastic that cause it to sort-of ‘snap’ closed and also stay in the open position when fully open.

If you search... you will see old threads on this. Aside from the already mentioned 3D printed doo-dad, you can also stick a small magnet on the door. Magnetism to the spigot and/or weight of magnet would keep it closed.

No mine is a 23. And as others including @UnsungZero_OldTimeAdMan suggested, I'll probably do the adhesive magnet. The 3d printed clips is cool and all but I prefer something more concealed. I get for most ppl this ain't a biggie, still weird Rivian missed it.
