I just realized you're in SoCal also. I think I have a bunch of magnets left over. I can mail you one or a couple. DM me.
Thank you sir! But I bought these less than an hour ago, with delivery today.

No mine is a 23. And as others including @UnsungZero_OldTimeAdMan suggested, I'll probably do the adhesive magnet. The 3d printed clips is cool and all but I prefer something more concealed. I get for most ppl this ain't a biggie, still weird Rivian missed it.

Thanks for the input everyone!
I used a small square of dual lock (basically plastic Velcro with adhesive backing) on my G1.

This was my simple solution. Single magnet is the exact thickness needed to hold the door in place against the steel air spigot.
I'm probably doing this wrong, but see post 54913.

My2024 has this problem, and it always annoys me when I look at it. Seems like the GearGuard version got popular, it's up to $13 now. I'll probably get one anyway....

@robd - do these stick well? I bought some that are about twice the size, and comically the adhesive is so weak the magnets (truck and lid) become attached to each other.

I wondered about the stock adhesive on the magnets being stronger than the magnets themselves but so far they are working. I cleaned the door and panel with alcohol before I adhered the magnets. It's only been a week so perhaps it's premature to declare victory. The magnets came in a pack with 25 pairs so I guess I can just keep putting news ones on if necessary. Or try super glue. If I was doing it again, I might go with 2mm thick magnets. See my post from a week ago with a photo on that.

I'm using the adhesive magnetic cabinet closures, mentioned in another thread on my 2023. Works great. Invisible. No loose parts to hassle with.

FWIW, I understand they added a spring on the compressor door for gen 2, similar to the power outlets, so no longer an issue?
