R1T cover flap on the air compressor

Hello.For those With a R1T does the cover over the air compressor connection stay in place? Mine is constantly popping up. It does not lock in place like that of the 110 outlet in the bed on the other side. Not sure if mine is broken. Thanks for any suggestions.

I put a velcro tab on it to keep it closed

I also used magnets. Bought these magnets on Amazon...

This was my simple solution. Single magnet is the exact thickness needed to hold the door in place against the steel air spigot.

Get these magnets at Home Depot along with a bottle of super glue.

Rough up one side of a magnet and its mating surface on the back of the cover. Stick the slick side of the magnet onto the air spigot and put a drop of super glue on the rough side. Immediately close the lid and apply pressure in the center over the magnet for about a minute. Problem solved.

Mine works fine. I worry about hitting it when it is in the up position. So far so good.

I just got one of these on Amazon for ten bucks--I assume it was sold by someone on this forum, so: thanks! Is it "worth" ten dollars? It's worth ten dollars of my time not to worry about whether the item is worth ten dollars.

I copied CO-Ed. Works great. I adhered the 2-magnet stack to the door first, then closed it to adhere to the right spot on the panel.

2mm thick magnets might be even better to get the door more flush. Super happy though to keep the dang door shut.
