Hello. For those With a R1T does the cover over the air compressor connection stay in place? Mine is constantly popping up. It does not lock in place like that of the 110 outlet in the bed on the other side. Not sure if mine is broken. Thanks for any suggestions.

I just had mine replaced and the new one is better but does not lock in like the 110. My loaner from from the SC with 1K miles on it also felt excatly the same.

FWIW I made the same complaint and thats why they replaced it.

Yes. The air currents in the bed seem to blow this flimsy piece of plastic open. Those flaps are a weak point of the design. I have seen a post here a year or two ago where someone attached magnets to keep the cover from moving around. I was thinking about Velcro and it’s possible that just adding some weight to it may be enough to keep it down.

Mine pops open from time to time. I have thought about putting some magnet sticker on it but it hasn't been enough of an annoyance yet to go through with it. I believe there is another thread where this has come up. Maybe there is more info there.

I stuck some magnets (^^ same as above) to the door and it stays put now. I'd read here on the forum that getting it replaced wouldn't work as it was the same design and it would just do it again.

had the same issue. asked them to fix/replace but they didn't. solution was to add a magnet on the flap, right where the compressor connector is. magnet sticks right to the compressor nozzle. works like a charm.

Common question. Two typical solutions are a magnet (usually glued to the door flap, or a pair of bar magnets glued at the bottom), or the 3D printed compressor door lock mentioned above:

A forum member kindly made me the 3D printed lock a few months ago; really like it and it's still holding up great. That would be my recommendation. If you don't have a friend with a 3D printer, maybe try your local library? (until someone makes a bunch of them and starts selling them anyway, LOL)

Mine spends more time open than closed and I’ve only used the compressor once :)
