I doubt it.

I put 60 bags of mulch in my T, and if they each weighed 15 lbs each (which seems right based on how they felt unloading), that is 900 lbs. It looks like he might have a few more bags, so assuming 80 bags, that is 1,200 lbs.

I also checked AI and I think AI is wrong. I distributed 60 bags around my yard and I seriously doubt they weighed 30 or more pounds each. Of course I didn't weigh them, so maybe the great and infallible AI is right.

My truck handled the weight just fine and I made it home without issues, and didn't damage anything.

They can vary quite a bit depending on moisture content. In the same pallet, I have seen bags that were dry and light, probably 20 pounds or so, and I have seen bags that were easily 35 lbs. They were on top of the pallet and dripping water when I picked them up, apparently having absorbed rain water at Lowes.

My brother and I cleaning out dad's house in preparation for an estate sale. Loaded up 22 boxes of books to donate to the local library. I'm SURE we were over the payload rating for the truck with the two of us and almost 800 books in the truck! I'm glad we went with small moving boxes to load books in since I would not want to move around anything heavier than what each of these boxes weighed.

Found two junk grills on the side of the road last Saturday. Had to take them apart to get them in the back, and in the end only got $6 from the only scrapyard open on a Saturday afternoon. But hey, that's $6 more than I had before, that gets them off the side of the road, and it's not like I had to pay for gas to take them the three miles.

Have I said lately I wish we had a longer bed option on these trucks?
