Have we received any official wording on this? Don't see them on the configurator on the Rivian website.

If this is the case, not to be dramatic, but a bit devastated. Probably the two best colors, IMO.

Back when they dropped yellow, there was a list of color popularity that as I recall was released by Rivian as part of their "justification" for dropping yellow, and it was related to delivery timelines. People had to wait for the next "batch" of Compass Yellow and Red Canyon vehicles because they were not popular colors. For the first year or more, Rivian was trying to make the paint shop more efficient by running colors in batches. There's a thread here somewhere. Red Canyon was near the bottom of popularity. Love my Red Canyon!

I figured as much. Makes sense. The color felt so rare compared to how often I see the white or black in my neck of the woods. So heartbreaking. I have a forest green and was looking forward to upgrading to a Red Canyon in the future. Every time I see a red canyon in public I beat myself up for not getting that color originally. It hurts even more now lol

I really hope Rivian brings back more exciting colors for the R2 (Compass Yellow!!!). The only things left that I find remotely interesting are the Blue and Green.

Agreed. I was hoping to upgrade to a Red Canyon Tri in the future but now may have to hold out hope that the R2 (or R3X) can do something more fun with the color options. I just can't with the rest of the industry just releasing white, black and every shade of gray. Makes car so unexciting to look at it for me.

We like bright reds. Red Canyon was too orange for our taste.

I liked Compass Yellow a lot, but my wife didn't like yellow as a car color.

We wound up with Glacier White (R1S) and Rivian Blue (R1T). We're both happy with those.

I hope Rivian finds the right mix of exciting colors and reasonable costs. It's not an easy balance.

Best to all!

Rivian went from "great bright color choices" to "pretty tame color palate".

Green, blue, and monochrome. (And I say this as someone for whom green and blue were my wife and my top choices.)

YOU WILL TAKE YOUR SOULLESS CALIFORNIA THEMED NEUTRAL SHADE AND YOU WILL LIKE IT!

maybe if you don't complain they will allow you to add some "flair" in the form of colored calipers (as long as you're willing to pay) and a small decal.

Sad, I loved the Red Canyon in person, the color was dynamic. Seeing it on the road I was always impressed, especially on the R1T. It was the color we wanted next. The website and photos couldn't show the depth of color.

They had both a Limestone and Canyon Red vehicles at the Boston experience center when we went for our test drive. We >almost< liked the Limestone, the color changed depending on the light source; from a powder gray to a light blue, but it too... gray... for our taste. The red was just a weird, Tabasco red that, on the example R1T, was just overpowering. Went with Rivian Blue.

Yes, it is definitely dynamic, that's what I like about it. It varies from dark red to burnt orange depending on the light. Chameleon!
