I rarely use navigation. So, it's not really an issue for me. But, I was hoping this switch to google would also bring along new voice prompts. But no, still the same mangled pronunciation of southeast, -teen, -teenth, etc. I don't understand how the voice prompts are so bad.

Have to agree that the auto zoom is highly suboptimal. Should be addressable with an OTA.

Suboptimal is the more appropriate word. Now if the navigation directed one into a lake à la The Office, it’s reasonable to say the experience was horrible.

I've always prefered a brisk speaking British accent over the long drawn out, often twangy standard voice.

I havent yet received any software update for google maps on my 2023 R1S. Is that update only for Gen 2? what do I need to do to get that?

What am I doing wrong? Everything is hardly visible. Truck is the same. Is there a setting I can't find? The second screenshot is from maps app. Clearly visible.​

Just be patient, it will let you know when it is ready for you. It rolls out over the course of several days.

Tried the new maps this morning and don’t know what all the complaints are about: my R1S now has perfect diction and even added an unprompted coffee stop for me!
