I am currently having my truck towed to the service center in Austin. I have a blowout and I actually need to go ahead and replace all of my tires. Is having retires replaced at the service center going to cost me a lot more than discount tire?

I wish Rivian offered tire damage warranty when they sold you knew tires. my last set I got from Tirerack.com and they were installed at MAVIS.

Tirerack usually offers 2 year free road hazard on their tires and you can have them delivered and installed at Discount Tire. The only downside is that you need to send them a photo of the damage, and then get reimbursed. I went through the process recently.

Yes, while limiting choices and your options for repairs in the future. It's a terrible idea.

News to me. Rivian said since they discontinued 21 inch wheels they happen to have a set of 20 inch wheels plus tires all-terrain that they are cutting me a deal on. Brand new four tires and four wheels for $2200 plus tax. I also get to keep the old rims that I can use for a spare. Thoughts on this

This sounds like a good deal to me. You will have many more options in the future moving to the 20s. Also, you are between a rock and a hard place right now with a blown tire and the vehicle towed to the service center. I recommend you accept Rivian's offer.
Good luck!!

Take the deal and run. Tires and mounting alone are close to $2k, and TPMS is more on top of that.

Discount Tire is the way to go. If you use road tires, go for the Michelin Defenders, I can vouch for them after 18k miles on them!

Yes take the 20s. I would if I had that option.

You will end up with a new tire and wheels set at half the price. And like others noted, you will have the most tire options to select from.

I'd take it for the $2200 and run! I'd be curious if they are the Pirelli or the GoodYear 20". The Pirelli's will get LOUD after about 10k miles.

BTW, if you're concerned about highway road noise, DON'T take that deal. I drove a loaner a couple of weeks back with 20" A/T and gosh that crap was noisy!

To the point that my wife said "this is worse than your other car..." (Ford Focus RS with a Catless Downpipe and a catback touring exhaust, with tighter engine mounts that makes the cabin vibrate the crap out of it). And I'm not kidding about this comment.
