I”ll go with the quad. If monthly payment is not an issue with you.
Monthly payment is definitely a decent amount higher given the higher MSRP and lack of similar incentives. That said, my CU is offered 4.49% so I'd probably switch to a loan and take advantage of these rates vs the 8-9% on the lease.

Every time I go out to the garage and my wife's R1S Dune is out there or I see it driving down the road I think dayum that is beautiful. (FTR I also say that about the wife, really!) For my money, it's the Dune with color-matched wheels every time.

So yes in the pic it is, i ended up raising the vehicle and it was much better with the higher setting.
Just making sure, I've seen them get bent before, and they have to be replaced. You should also be able to unlock the top step and collapse it to move the ladder closer, but the ladder does need to be rigid at the top to prevent bending the tent floor/hinge too.

What does the new quad give you that Dune doesn't?
- Kick turn and more power/toque?
- fractionally faster?
- higher costs?

What do you lose from Dune?
- limited edition with unique color way and interior
- lower payment and sunk costs

You do you. For me, both are just R1S variants and doesn't offer enough differentiation to go through the change.

I'm starting to realize that no matter how much I WANT the quad, it just doesn't make sense! I'm itching for that touch more speed, but the California Dune R1S in particular was such a screaming deal for the Tri Max setup that the $1000/mo extra for very close to the same car seems crazy.

I'm extremely impulsive and generally can tempt myself with these things, but the Quad just isn't different enough. I'd lose the two tone interior if I want a launch edition, and think I'm better off waiting it out and seeing what Rivian does with the quads after the EV credit goes away.

They may not incentivize the quads as much, but the money factor is outrageously high with no $$$ thrown at the car to offset it. Even though the trade would be as if I'd never purchased a Rivian, the entry price to get into the quad is just too far away. Given I have a TRI MAX and know how it feels, it's much harder than had I just gone straight for Quad :)

Going to sleep on it a few more nights!
