Sterling Service Center Update

Stopped by the new Sterling, VA Service Center today (42734 Trade West Dr., Sterling VA 20166). Outside, landscaping, parking lots all complete. Bays are being built up; furniture going into the front offices/reception. Still looking at August-Sep opening. Photo attached.

Nice! Any insight on the chargers outside? Think they'll be for anyone driving by (like a regular RAN), or just people getting serviced?

Long time listener, first time caller here. Just had my vehicle serviced up in Gaithersburg and asked the SC rep when this was going to be online, they didn't have a specific timeline, but thought sometime in the next 60 days. Basically the service techs that will be in Sterling are currently training up in Gaithersburg and elsewhere, some folks are getting promoted from Gaithersburg to higher levels to manage/run Sterling, etc. Hopefully this means they will open and hit the ground running.

Thanks for the update! I’m still hoping/expecting it will be open by end of September, at least for more routine appts.

Today (Saturday) we did a drive-by of the new service center in Sterling (actually Arcola area), just to check it out. It was closed - hours are M-F 8-5. So hubby and I will stop in on Monday. The center is only 20 miles (30 minutes) from our farm, vs. Gaithersburg which is 58 miles away. (1.5 hrs).

It was one person posting on the forums that alerted me to the fact that the Sterling service center was finally open. We just wanted to see it for ourselves, and see how long it took to drive there from our place. Very happy it is so close. Sure beats the travel to Gaithersburg, MD.
