I've been playing with ABRP for most route trips I need to stop more often than the car would charge. I've been planning on a drive I'm pretty familiar with (San Jose to Palm Springs) and what's interesting is that I'm like "Yeah, I usually stop around here and around here." Looks like there are chargers near those spots so as long as I can find a bathroom and grab a beverage the answer seems to be that it charges fast enough.

I also kind of think that for health reasons folks should be stopping more often than they usually do...

I agree with this and I'm absolutely guilty of not stopping frequently enough. I'm actually hoping having an EV will force me into healthier driving habits for longer trips.

One of the rest stops we already stop at every time (Tejon Pass) has DC fast charging. I think that's brilliant. I'd rather stop at a nice CalTrans rest stop and charge for a bit while I visit the rest room and stretch my legs. But if it has to be the back of a gas station oh well.

I said this in another thread but the focus on DC Fast Chargers should absolutely be Rest Stops and the larger Travel Center type gas stations. I don't mind stopping for 30 minutes if I can walk around, get some food, and use a nice restroom where I don't feel in danger of getting hepatitis.
