Probably not- if this post caused you that much trouble then your problems run deeper.
I agree that the problems run deeper. Your complaint is merely a symptom of an incredible level of entitlement and lack of grace in dealing with minor inconveniences. People's lives are so worry-free these days that complaints like this one are seen as valid—first-world problems.

Yes we are spoiled. There’s good, stable software out there. Rivian’s is just not one of them. Yet….

software resets first year:
Rivian 8
Tesla. 0

8 whole resets, huh? Should I call a disaster relief organization so they can pitch some tents in your yard and provide support during this trying time?

If me wanting the basic functions of my car to work trouble free is “an incredible level of entitlement” then ok. Guess I’m guilty.

it’s entirely ok to like something and also be disappointed by certain aspects of it. I love my car but I’m also disappointed by parts of it.

Being pollyannish about the totality of the situation is just complacency.

I must have missed the times you were stranded and the car was bricked in your posts, as that would be the basic functionality of a vehicle. Complaining about minor software bugs is substantially entitled, and the fact that you don't think it is proves my point. Every time I get in mine it goes where I want it to go and brings me back again, so the basic functionality seems to work pretty well. Occasionally, I have to reset it or something, but since I am an adult who understands that life isn't perfect, I do what I need to do and move on with my day.

Maybe you should try that?

They can't. They've all seen their funding cut.

I even pay for the privilege (on my sierra, which has an actual antenna for it)

I do, because my wife likes it. IDK why, and I've mocked her about it, yet my Rivian has satellite radio...

Is your whole persona just going online and belittling people and pretending you’re better than everyone else?

seems like you’re just insufferable.

I don’t like someone’s opinion online …. I’m going to tell them what a big grown up I am and how they’re just not as evolved as I am. I do everything right. Be like me.

being a condescending ass really isn’t substantively useful for the conversation. Seems like you’re more hung up on this thread than you are on your car not working. 🤡

Missing the point there sir
Yeah Donald, quit being a jerk and minimizing the fact that he had to manually select his favorite channel on Sirius XM.

I hit the point quite well. I honestly couldn't tell you how many times I've had to reset my software this year, because I have more important things to concern myself with. It could be 3, 8, or 10; it doesn't matter. It confuses me how people can fixate on unimportant little shit like that to find a problem where there doesn't need to be one. I have business obligations, family obligations, friends, and hobbies, so I do not have time to concern myself with such trivial issues.

Do you realize how great your life is that you have the mental bandwidth to count how many times you've had to reset your 90K dollar SUV in the past year? There are children in this country who will go to bed without something to eat or a place to live tonight. Some people live their lives in constant pain with terminal illness, facing their mortality every day with grace and courage. Here you are, with your little tally sheet, counting vehicle resets.

I may have a reputation as a fanboy on this forum, but the reality is that I don't excuse Rivian for unacceptable issues. Take a look at my comments on @portdirect's threads. He's had some real problems, and I've recognized them as such. Resetting your software 10 times a year on your supercar doesn't count. Wouldn't you be happier counting all the things you have right in your life instead of how many times you've reset your Rivian? I can't tell you how to live, but if I went around making lists of how many times I've dealt with an issue or inconvenience in my day-to-day existence, I'd be miserable.

I spend 100k, I want shit to work.

In hindsight, I spend $40k on a Tesla and the shit works every time.

but keep on fanboying over mediocrity
