All-purpose with auto height (so yes, lowered). I have a dual-motor, so no conserve mode.
On my Tri, there is one height level below the Auto setting when in Conserve. I imagine it may be the same with yours in All Purpose. Auto selects Low. You can manually lower it to Lowest.

I have not tested the difference between Low and Lowest, but there probably is an efficiency gain. Lowest is definitely less comfortable than Low. Low is pretty good, actually. Lowest is closer to what my Mach-e felt like. The Mach-e was rougher, but that is what it reminds me of.

My wife complained about how bouncy my Mach-e was. She would probably complain about going over bumps with my R1 in the Lowest setting.

Definitely need more data, the this graph from Electrafi is interesting. I had it split up the drives for before (green line, orange bar) and after (blue line and bar) I installed the Wakeshield, and there is a clear improvement with the topper on.

The flattening of the efficiency curve from 60 to 75 mph is definitely interesting, and has some real implications for road trips. We’ll see if these results hold up as more data is collected!

I feel like I’ve seen the lowest setting before, but haven’t really looked for it. I’ll mess around with it and see if I can find it.

That looks pretty convincing. It will be very interesting to see how the efficiency settles out when you get a lot more miles with the topper.

I have been going back and forth on getting one of these since my R1T was delivered. I originally thought I would get the topper for sure, but I have been making heavy use of the bed and worry I would have to remove the topper too frequently. Are you able to remove and reinstall yours by yourself, or do you need help?

If not for things like this:

It is very easy to install and remove. It doesn’t weigh much at all, and the most challenging part is literally just lifting it into/out of place. I’m sure it could be done solo, but having a second person definitely helps. It really comes down to stability and maneuvering; it’s possible that if you just got under it and lifted against the center of the lid, that it would be relatively easy to get it into place yourself, but I haven’t tried it yet. A simple pulley in your garage ceiling with some rope would almost certainly be enough to make it an easy one-person job.

Almost entirely highway. Average speed for the whole trip was a hair over 68 mph.

My fastest segment was the aforementioned run across the top of Texas. Average speed was 75, max was 91. 2.29 mi/kWh for 238.43 miles at 83.9° F.

I’ve driven that exact segment multiple times in the past. I’ll have to dig up the Electrafi data on it, but I don’t think I’ve ever done it without stopping to charge somewhere in Texas before.
Cool. What were the temps when you previously drove it?

Is Wakeshield still around? I've sent several emails and messages, but haven't received a response.

I hope so! I am still thinking about getting one.

Looks like the Wakeshield website is dead. I guess I was really lucky to actually be able to get my hands on one! https://www.wakeshield.biz/
That is a shame. Even though I bought an Autofit Pro one on the group buy, I still liked this one.

Noooo! I still have this on my list!!!
You could always consider the Autofit Pro one. I was one of the first to get one and, it has been awesome. Maybe not the efficiency gains of the Wakeshield one. I am doing about 1-2% better efficiency that I was with just my tonneau cover alone.

Always hate to lose an option for accessories.
