Just tried to charge my R1S today and it started charging, but showing offline. It is parked in the garage and no issues with WIFI. It is showing charging stats in the car correctly. I just checked on the data on ElectraFi and it appears it stopped communicated some time on Friday. No drive data is available despite me having driven it the past two days. Starting at 12:18pm on Friday, it shows parked at home and showing incorrect level of charge, as well. Should I try a reboot?

I just rebooted the vehicle and everything was fine thereafter. Have not had the message since. (left tab on left-hand side of the steering wheel + hazar).

I've had couple of odd things (e.g., this, charge port not opening) since the latest firmware update.

I had the Vehicle Offline show up in my app Thursday.

I just rebooted the vehicle and everything was fine thereafter. Have not had the message since. (left tab on left-hand side of the steering wheel + hazar).

I've had couple of odd things (e.g., this, charge port not opening) since the latest firmware update.
I did a full reboot after posting and that did the trick for me as well. Lost all data between Friday and today, but could be worse. Would have been nice to get a message letting us know that there was an issue.

I don’t think Rivian has yet figured out how to reliably wake their vehicles. 2+ years in and it is still inconsistent.

Then, out of nowhere, you resurrect a thread older than your account to post a single sentence complaining about the software, giving no context.

If it looks like a troll, smells like a troll…

So any owner being frustratingly bothered by Rivian's low quality software can't complain? Any one like me complains is a troll? How about this, if I show you the proof I'm a owner of Rivian, you venmo me $1k and apologize, fanboy dare??

Did you try an infotainment reset? That's what fixes mine. These EVs aren't like legacy ICE where you don't have to do anything. It's like your phone, need to restart it once in a while if things aren't working right.

Thanks, I will try that today. But the frequency of system restarting is making me a little disappointed, I restarted it last month for another software glitch..

It's like a phone or computer. Would you be disappointed if you had to restart your phone or computer once a month? Probably not so stop thinking about EVs as just cars, they are much more than that.

yeah it makes sense somehow. My iphone and macbook probably just need to restart 2 or 3 times a year excluding software upgrade, I hope Rivian engineers can improve software reliability to that level.

And Apple has been doing this for decades. Rivian will get there assuming they survive.

Comparisons aside, I find that Rivian software is not what it should be. There are too many little inconsistencies. They'll fix somethings and new issues pop up.

I always do a hard reboot after every firmware update.

If you’d spent any time on this forum, you’d know that it’s rife with trolls who have “active” accounts that are dormant, and suddenly pop up out of nowhere professing that they “love” their Rivian, then proceed to bash it.

I’m not saying people haven’t experienced issues, but if you come on a product-specific forum (any forum, not just this one), and bash the product without any context, you should expect some pushback from members.

And on that note, I’m happy to have been proven wrong, and you have my apologies.

This pattern makes a lot of sense to me - a lot of owners are busy with family and work, they don't have time for this forum, until a ridiculous quality issue pops up and they need to find answers here.
