Hey folks, quick (and exciting) update on the next run of the Tunnel Tray.

We just got the final prototype bracket back from the local fabricator we've been working with. We assembled the full setup, and, oh man, it’s great! Clean fit, easy glide, and a solid lock that feels just right.

We’re within a few days of opening pre-orders. Just putting the final few details in place to make sure this run goes off without a hitch. Once those are in place, we’ll open up a limited run for the first batch.

If you’ve been waiting for V2, now’s the time to start clearing space in your tunnel.
We’ll drop more details soon and you can view the updated product page here. Appreciate the patience and the feedback that helped shape this version!

Price is a bit steep for me, but I know the quality is there and that's an awesome design!

Thanks for the compliments on the design, we love to hear it! One thing to keep in mind regarding price: we offer free shipping so there's no adding to cart and then realizing it's an extra $200 at checkout.

The storage area underneath the tray is a huge opportunity for keeping things like recovery gear that you want to have, but don’t need every day.
Question about your comment, above. Does this version let you access the space beneath the tray? Or were you speculating about future possibilities?

I've had my eye on this for a while and am excited to see the new version coming out. It's a clean, smart design.

My first gear tunnel tray was made from a crappy ladder I found, some aluminum extrusions and a few brackets from Amazon. I threw the whole thing together for like $50, and I’m hoping to get a diy kit together with standard slides. But unfortunately, everything costs so much more than it should at the moment a this is just how much we need to charge to pay the bills.

There’s space under and around the tray! We tried to sacrifice as little space as possible with our design. Theres room for gear like straps, tie downs, emergency kits, gridfinity trays, fishing poles, trekking poles, tube lights, tent poles, or anything else 64” and under. We’ve also left room for cable management or whatever cool stuff you can think of. Banana for scale.

I see opportunity for a silicone lined tool tray… torque wrench, breaker bar, etc.

Are you shipping soon? I’ve seen some good looking competitors products out there in stock and shipping and they are pretty tempting to grab one!

Hoping to receive and be able to install over Thanksgiving break. Any chances of this?
Thanks!

Hopefully! We had one small but important part that needed a rework. We tried a bunch of in-house fixes (including nearly justifying a new industrial machine), but in the end, we sent it out to our fabricator to get it done right and fast. At this point, we’re just waiting on that part to come back from their shop. If all goes according to plan, we should have it back in hand very soon, and shipments will start going out right after.
Appreciate the patience. Not sure about the exact date but we’re pushing hard to get these out the door before the holiday.

I was quoted "Today, maybe tomorrow, definitely by early next week..." on the part. Apparently they're done and just need to go through their QC. Don't worry about blocking out a weekend though, installation takes about 5 minutes... but we won't tell anyone if you need to spend a few hours alone in the garage.

Placed an order a few days ago ( Dec 1st) Any updates on shipment? How will this be packed to avoid damage?

Lastly, will you make an accessory cover plate to hide the bolts?

Thanks

Great news: The first batch of Tunnel Trays were sent out today! We'll continue to send out in batches and plan to have every pre-order out the door by the end of next week. We have layers of cardboard and other padding to protect the trays during shipping.

There's no accessory cover plate currently planned but it's an option we'd love to explore. We'll be sure to let you know if we move forward with that!
