@Mcdubjr have you looked into making a version that’ll work with a cooling pad, similar to this one? I have the StowNCharge and love it, but my phone frequently overheats especially if the sun is on it, which is often where I live (even with tinted windows and brow on windshield). I need to come up with some sort of cooling solution for this pad.

Yeah, I purchased one of those many months back. I didn't get too far for a couple reasons.

1. Price - it was $50 a unit back when I purchased and having two would make this a very expensive product. I see it's now half that....
2. It's really thick. With how StowNCharge has the lid slide under the chargers there is limited space.

So I don't think I could have it work with a StowNCharge - perhaps a different product could be interesting.

@Mcdubjr been loving the StowNCharge for over 2 years now! Just ran into my first issue though. Was hoping you could help me troubleshoot and fix it.

I‘ve been using two Apple MagSafe pucks, but one of them will actually charge a phone. I’ve tested all combinations of puck and port on the StowNCharge. Both pucks work fine if plugged into a wall charger. Both work fine when plugged into the StowNCharge’s usb port closest to the port for the rivian’s harness. Neither puck works when plugged into the other port. So pretty reasonable to guess the one port isn’t working. Any suggestions on troubleshooting or repairing beyond that?

I love my stown n charge as well. I even purchased it before I got my car in 2023.

Certainly possible that the module that goes from the vehicle to the stow n charge could be replaced.

Have you checked with the company?

I believe they had another module for a similar product.

I would think you could jumper the power from one to the other, but then maybe not charge two phones at the same time.

If you do find a solution, I’d like to know. While mine is working well. Always good to have a plan in case it fails.

Just checked. The OEM appears to sell a replacement power module for $19 plus shipping. Hopefully that can be your solution. Best wishes.
