Received 1794 a week or so ago. Scheduled for April 2… they don’t seem to be in a hurry to get to it.

Shop says the repair takes about an hour but they can’t guarantee how long I will have to wait probably in excess of 2 hours. I also asked why my 2022 truck which has not had any previous toe link repairs needs to come in as the recall is pretty specific. No one could answer my question.

Yup. I am waiting for my new SC to open that is 35 mins from my house. Otherwise I have to drive over 2 hours to the next closest one.
hopefully the new SC will open in the spring so that is when I will have it done

Yup. Scheduled service for tomorrow. They're also going to take a look at the air suspension. The front end seems to start sagging after being parked for more than a day.

I had it done at the Normal, IL service center yesterday. They also replaced the secondary driver assist module. They told me 1-2 hours but it was more like 6 hours. It didn't bother me, since I they set me up with an Enterprise rental car to use. It was nice to check out the R2 in the lobby while I was there. Too bad it was roped off, so I couldn't sit in it.

Warranty for: Recall: FSAM-1794 repair done yesterday. Also had alignment done, AC filter replaced (original and very dirty) plus brake fluid flush. 8am appointment and done by 4pm. Cost for the other items $494.62

Is there any consensus here on what previous repairs resulted in this recall? My vehicle has had rear axles and disconnects replaced but the vin is not recalled, I was guessing that the axles might have included this operation and expected the recall but not so apparently.

My 2025 R1S Gen 2 is in the Orlando Service Center having this done as we speak. It was built in February 2025 and we picked it up in May 2025. It has just under 7,000 miles on it and has never been in for any other repair. Our appointment was on 02/10/2026. It turns out that the knuckle (I think) that the fastener was threaded in was worn/damaged to the point where it needed to be replaced along with the fastener. They didn't have a replacement knuckle so shipped it up from Miami, got it today, and it should be ready by close of business today. Hopefully I can pick it up tomorrow. I live in Jacksonville, FL about 130 miles from Orlando.

I asked why my R1S was flagged for this recall as the info from Rivian seemed to indicate that it was a result of a previous repair to the rear suspension, which has never happened to mine. The answer was that it was based on VINs, and my R1S was in the VIN range for the repair.

We got an R1S Gen 2 as a loaner. The service rep, when telling us the status of the repair, apologized profusely that the loaner R1S wasn't the same color as our R1S. I kind of laughed and asked if that's something that people really complain about and she said yes they do. I was just happy to get a car to drive home with and the fact that it was a Rivian was great.
