I’m budgeting for 62k with options that I would want, but I expect 59k with no options (wheels/interior color/etc)

I’m in the same mindset as you. I was saying somewhere between $55K to $60K, but now I’m leaning more toward $60K.I have seen a lot of speculation so thought I would start a thread for these speculations. I was going to try to create a pole but I could not figure out how to create one. I was originally going to say $57K. But I have seen so much high estimates. I am now going to speculate $59K.
If they want to create a pole let them. They just need a sturdy material, like bamboo or something. Don’t pole shame them.I’d recommend creating a poll instead…
Agreed. The Premium AWD Model Y is currently $48,990. I think R2 Launch Edition will start around $52,990, maybe with a performance upgrade around $57,990.I think it's going to have to be under $60K if they want people to believe they're really aimed at the mass market with the R2. If it's in the $60's, it's not sending the right message, no matter how high-level the LE trim is. My guess is $55-$58K.
RJ has said in recent cnbc interview the Launch is Dual-Motor Performance. (yellow brake calipers on all the press R2's give that away)Agreed. The Premium AWD Model Y is currently $48,990. I think R2 Launch Edition will start around $52,990, maybe with a performance upgrade around $57,990.
Thanks, I didn't realize he'd said that LE would be Performance only. I just think it would be a mistake from a customer relations perspective to put the starting price above 55k.RJ has said in recent cnbc interview the Launch is Dual-Motor Performance. I don't think there will be a choice. Likely only going to be able to option interior and exterior color.
The LE will be Dual Performance, but I believe it will be priced like a Dual non-performance (which won't be initially available as a configuration). That's your LE bonus, which will cost Rivian nothing and will keep the LE price at a reasonable step above the Base. Then when LE is done the Dual non-performance will take it's place at the same price, and you'll have to pay extra for the performance. Thanks, I didn't realize he'd said that LE would be Performance only. That should make LE buyers quite happy if it happens. The LE will be Dual Performance, but I believe it will be priced like a Dual non-performance (which won't be initially available as a configuration).
